"With the second lockdown approaching in England, together with the isolation, depression, money worries and job security fears it causes, mental health awareness once again comes to the forefront. With this in mind, is it really appropriate for site members to have the word 'mental' in their usernames? Should the flippant use of this word now be consigned to history, following the fate of certain words from the 1970s and 80s? Let's avoid the kneejerk "snowflake" and "political correctness gone mad" comments. Let's have a grown up discussion about this." People use all kinds of inappropriate words ..... retard is really offensive but people use it. Mental is just a word to describe that it happens in the brain. You have good mental health and bad mental health. | |||
