Some survivors of Covid-19 carry worrying signs that their immune system has turned on the body, reminiscent of potentially debilitating diseases like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, a new study has found.

It would seem from many studies that the effects of the bodies reaction to covid may cause many long term and serious afflictions.

Fit and healthy people have told me they are struggling with their health many months after first being diagnosed.

The thought of the long term effects of this pandemic are really worrying.

I know a.few fit and healthy people who are having long term effects.

Plenty of articles about covering the subject as well.

It is scary to realise this virus is able to cause such long term effects as well as causing death in the short term.

Central

People without symptoms can still have issues and very few people will have any idea what the internal effects have been from them getting infected.

Better treatments now can reduce severity of many effects and save lives. Roll on the vaccines, I hope

Reasons to take care.

I have an autoimmune disease. (Probably one of the least worst ones)

You *do not* want an autoimmune disease.

So many people in a high to medium risk group having to watch covidiots and listen to the "it's just flu brigade"

I don't know how you keep your cool.

Delightful Bliss

I'm more worried about the blood clots, a friend will potentially be on blood thinners permanently after covid-19 complications put her in hospital for a week with serious DVT in her legs

I should say my particular autoimmune disease doesn't put me at increased risk. Different mechanism.

But I know that having an autoimmune disease is not good news. It's a thing to avoid. To quote my profile, "people are germy, be a hero, stay home and wank"
