That's why isolation needs to be incentivised. Make sure the isolating people continue to get paid the same as when working.

We should test quickly with results as fast as possible. Then ensure that people who are positive have no financial punishments for doing the right thing for us all, by staying home.

A few weeks ago it was estimated using random sampling that 600000 people were infected that week. That's over half a million so not that many really.

Exactly... Unless people change behaviours as a result of their positive (or negative) test, it's irrelevant how many people are tested.

The other option is some who are literally on their arses financially, have little or no symptoms have no choice but to go out and earn..

Then other people may pay for that in a health sense..

personaly, i cant see any evidance tht lockdowns work, they just delay things, the only way is for us to figure out a way to live with this virus, like we have with countless others, if a jab happens, and hopefully it will, then we might eradicate it like we have mainly with other illnesses, like tb etc, but until then, there isnt alot we can do really

They just delay things is exactly the point of them working. So that the NHS and society generally is not overwhelmed with 5 million people needing hospitalisation at the same time. Nobody has ever suggested lockdown eradicates the problem. 9 months I'd hope we would be able to be more sophisticated with who and when and where we lock down but selective lockdowns were not being enforced so here's another set of words to say the same thing... "stop spreading the infection"
