Anyone else had a home antibody test?

I don’t bleed enough! I had to use all 3 lancets and both hands.

Even when I got a bleed on it stopped pdq.

Anyone know how accurate (or otherwise) they are?

I've done STD kits and it took a couple of tries to get it right and collect enough blood. I found firm pressure on the finger while keeping it horizontal helps. And don't delay once you've pricked yourself as the blood will start to coagulate.

NHS have a YouTube video for the covid test-

I used a home one when they first came out (May or June) and got a negative result. The NHS did an antibody test on me with venous blood in early August, which was positive. The only time I've had Covid symptoms was end of March/start of April (S also had symptoms at the same time). I believe the home finger prick test was inaccurate. That said, I'm also participating in the UK Biobank research into Covid and they're asking for finger prick blood samples monthly. Make sure your hand is warm, make sure you're well hydrated too, that's my advice for most efficient bleeding.

I done one for the nhs survey, it was negative, but they did say it wasn't 100% accurate. If I wanted to know for sure, I would go to a private clinic and have blood drawn.

Interesting question presuming you've all had the MMR.

Have one done for any of them and see if you've got antibodies still?.

That looks so wrong with the rest of the thread trimmed...

Give your little finger a little squeeze between your thumb and forefinger as you prick it...
