And I'm talking to Fabbers (please) Not the Plans and Sarcastic Boris or Starmer or Donald Duck . . . ideas.

We were just discussing what plans we should make - to Go Away - to Hotel - to Stay home.

It's looking very likely that Venues will stay mostly shut. So maybe a quick jaunt into another country or even a night in a Posh Hotel . . .

Come on fabbers, give us some more things to weigh up and consider.

Cornwall seems pretty safe as cases are actually going down there, most of the South coast barring a couple of the big cities look pretty safe as well (I mean safe from lockdown), if the head of the Welsh assembly gets his way it looks like the border will be closed again so that looks doubtful.

Abroad is anybody's guess Northern hemisphere wise

Ideally spent in a swingers club. Introducing current GF who’s keen on the idea but has made it quite clear she’s not keen on sharing.

Gibraltar is always a good New Year. Short hop on a plane and Covid under control or thereabouts bar the odd spike in double digits.

On a normal year it goes crazy with fireworks and people coming together.

Hope both are lovely.

We moved two main Holidays from this year to next. Cancelled 4 Hotel stays. Had 3 cancelled by the Hotel Groups. Managed to stay away 4 times. Done Alton Towers 10 times. Still have 6 booked.

We are staying home for Christmas but are determined to do 'something' for NYE/NYE day.

Been to a few hotels in recent weeks London, York, Cambridge, MK, everything is shit tbh, you just end up doing room service as going out isn’t much fun and if you do , the party vibe is outdoor and it’s getting cold.

Got a few more nights / weekends planned and looking into log cabins with hot tubs, or by the sea, something a bit different maybe

A break can be good for the spirit, so there's probably tons of choice.

I'd hope the 10pm curfew isn't around for bars here. If it is, perhaps a jaunt overseas is called for. Probably lots of time to plan

How can you have a buffet in tier two ? It is table service only. Fizz at 12 ? I thought they had to close 11pm

Well, i could meet up with a few of the girls, grab some food, a few drinks, over to the club, some dancing, have a bit of an orgy, say six to a bed, swap around guys and gals and in-betweens, champagne at midnight, then some one on one on one action, keep the party going until dawn...

But you know, that could all get boring. Maybe I'll just have a quiet night in, a mug of cocoa and a mince pie, fluffy cotton pyjamas, and retire under the duvet at about 11 pm

I would check that Because as far as I know you still can't serve buffet food unless things are individually wrapped and it has to be table service.

Also I don't think they are extending the opening times past 11 even for New Year's Eve.

Might be worth double checking.

We had a very basic cabin booked in Wales, hot tub, fire pit just the 2 of us, that's all we wanted, after a year full of shit. Cancer, death (non covid related), health scares for both of us. 4 cancelled holidays, almost going bankrupt, Covid has kind of become irrelevant however after today's announcement Wales isn't happening. So we're saying fuck it.......
