There's an anti fog spray , alternatively fit the mask correctly and there shouldn't be any air going towards the glasses

Darth Vader has an all over thing. Would be a great laugh everyone walking around making his sound and talking like James Earl Jones.

Yes, dip your glasses in warm soapy water, let them dry naturally and hey presto! Well, it doesn't always work, but try anyway

Spit on them. Well it works on a snorkel mask. Looks a bit gross though.

Switch to contacts?

A lady I work with fell over and ended up with concussion when her glasses steamed up. Poor woman has only just come back.

Your paper masks will always steam your glasses up.

As theyve done that with me like that for years.

Ive got an eclipse p3 face mask now and that dosnt steam up my glasses.

Then again I do also use it building sites as well.

Wear the bottom edge higher on your chin and it creates slack on the sides next to your cheeks. The air comes out there instead of up either side of your nose.

This works.

If you put a tiny bit of washing up liquid on them them rub it in with a cloth it definitely helps with the fogging.

Check out the products that supposedly stop windows misting up.

A woman I spoke with in a shop the other day had got a mask that let you adjust the fastenings and said it had alleviated the issue for her.

I suffered from the same thing, I use a tissue, fold it up and put it under the part of the mask that fits over your nose, it works I sweat by it.

If you had anti-glare or anti-reflective coating added when you bought your glasses using washing up liquid could very well destroy it.

A very simple and effective solution with the common blue masks is to twist the ear loops once, into a figure 8 - makes the sides stand out slightly, which reduces the misting effect...

....saw this suggestion made by an NHS doctor who routinely wears one all day every day - so it's a medically-approved one!

Sunniest Exeter...

I have a mask with wire running along the top. This allows me to mold it to my nose/face and prevents a lot of foggy lenses!

Some, if not all, of the blue ones have that - works well in conjunction with twisting the loops...

Steamed up glasses is not good for old people who may be unsteady on their feet. I know my mum said she had nearly lost her balance a few times due to glasses steaming up.

Just go out and splash out a few quid on decent masks that don't steam your glasses up.

Pay pennies and you get monkey masks..

I've read reports (which may be bullshit) that the plastic visors are worse than useless so worth checking out.

What's the prize ?

Buy a mask with a hem all the way round, make a small incision at the end of the hem on the upper edge and insert a pipe cleaner which can be used to squeeze the mask round the bridge of your nose

Wash your glasses in soapy water it leaves a thin residue that helps prevent them misting over

Put your mask on first then glasses so they're not under the top of the mask

Tape a bit of folded up tissue paper along the top of the mask so it traps the moisture

Which ones do you specifically recommend?

I've built up a fair amount of FFP3 and FFP2 masks prior and since lockdown.

Try toolstation and screwfix.. they sell pretty fast when they come in stock...but persevere and you will get them.

Ps my original post was late last night before getting my head down...fixed here and hopefully it makes more sense
