Bonus is looking to close the pubs

I believe this will decimate the hospitality industry even more than before

Also London seems to excluded from this yet it is the most densely populated city in the country

Has London got it right and the rest of us haven't ??

Durham, North Yorkshire and can travel

It's a farce if that happens. If he shuts down all areas of the North then London needs to be shut too.

The hospitality industry can't financially cope with more hits like this.

More people are dying from suicide than Covid nowadays. Why not let the country move forwards and try to recover.

There was an interesting comment on a program last night - they released the lockdown based on It being a good time for London, the North was tracking behind London and therefore it was the worst time they could have done for us - in other words the fire wasn’t out up here and the embers have been relit with new fuel (students) coming back...

Shutting 80 pubs and 800 redundancies. A fraction of their estate.

Luton

Manchester and Sheffield have over 500 cases per 100k population. Luton is currently at 60 by way of example and we've just been put back on the watch list.

Clearly something is very wrong in the Midlands and North.

1600 students tested positive today in newcastle alone.

We have a winner.

Must be the pub

Aye

Too many universities, too many students

Yorkshire:

Leeds has 2 uni’s, so does Sheffield, there is a uni in Huddersfield, Bradford, York and Hull, all have multiple campus’s

Are you really surprised that the rate is high compared to Luton

Leeds has 3, York has 2, Newcastle has 2, Durham has 2 campuses, Teeside, Sunderland, Manchester 2, Liverpool 2, etc. Same problem in the Midlands.

Where’s that completely incorrect fact come from?

It stands at less than 4,000 currently.

Liverpool

Tories always hate the north look at comments BoJo has said about my city for example. Also according to multiple sources high backed Tory strongholds are not under the same restrictions that are in the North West and North East. Also many scientists are now saying we shouldn't be in lockdown and it doing more harm then good. What most are saying is protect the vulnerable eg Pensioners, people at care homes and people more at risk but let most of the population carry on with there normal lives and with that in time we build a immunity. Seriously we need to open the floor to all points form our leading scientists not just the the advisers that are on the government pay roll.

Nottingham, which now has the highest rate of infection, has two leading universities. If at full capacity, they take 64000 students between them.

Its also known as a party city, as is Newcastle, Liverpool, and Manchester.

Doesnt take a genius to see the link.

In my happy place

Saw students on the news. Clueless.. And dont forget the freshers didn't take any exams...

They look left their homes, went wild.

55000 students arrived in Newcastle in a week.

They could have done omline learning at home...
