Swimming goggles to become compulsory

A study from China suggests that people who wear glasses for more than 8 hours a day are 5 times less likely to catch Covid. I am expecting the government to require everyone to wear swimming goggles in public places unless they have a medical exemption. After all, if it saves just one life how can people object?

Amusing (to us anyway) that the spectacle wearer got the worse Covid than the non spectacle wearer here. Of course, him being a him also immediately put him at a disadvantage.....

Given the number drownings that happened during the hot summer, perhaps we should make it compulsory to wear water wings at all times as well.

No doubt someone will be along shortly with something along the lines of "but drowning isn't contagious..."

Given how it hasn't stopped raining in days, I think wearing swim goggles will become a practical solution on the school run/commute

As has been pointed out, it’s not a fact. Actually around 50% of them are still alive.

All the government need to do is hand out designer sunglasses and there would be a 100% uptake even in sunny Britian
