No. Because it's a stupid thing to do during a worldwide pandemic. I wouldn't trust this government as far as I could chuck them.

Take a look at the ONS figures for this year thus far, excess deaths are over 60,000..

Granted that within that figure there will be some sadly that are from none covid where illnesses have not been diagnosed or people chose not to present at hospital etc..

It could take years for any here immunity to be effective, and there will be deaths of people with no underlying health in that too plus what are the effects both physical and mental health wise upon those we say you stay isolated from society whilst we crack on..

It's not that simple. We don't know, neither do they, who all of the vulnerable people are. They also can't be totally kept separate from everyone else. The more the epidemic spreads through others, the more it hits the vulnerable too.

We obviously should ensure that freedom is limited as little as possible and only for the shortest time possible too.

Limiting dancing and singing which could emit lots of the virus into a social space, isn't too great a short term investment, if it saves lives and the economy.

"Pandemic? If it's that bad, where are the deaths? No rise in death rates. Birth and death rate exactly the same as before covid, if it's so bad why aren't 3rd world countries decimated? Keep the vulnerable in and safe, and let it in the community. We can then build a natural resistance to it through our immune system. Covid is rising but death rates aren't.

First they came for the pub singers, and I did not speak out—because I was not a pub singer.

Then they came for the karaoke singers, and I did not speak out— because I was not a karaoke singer.

Then they came for the tribute bands, and I did not speak out—because I was not in a tribute band.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Seriously? Maybe you should think about dialing back the hyperbole a touch.

Facts that can't be denied. People who died of ailments they were suffering from anyway have been put down as covid deaths but the overall death rate hasn't increased. Dodgy to say the least

You need to get a sense of perspective and context..

If afterwards when we care back to 'normal' and such things are still prohibited feel free to organise a protest..

easy solution to get around dancing and singing then, just nip down to your local hospital and ask if you can join in the TIK TOK dance routines

I was in a pub in Bedford in the late 1980s, someone put a song on the jukebox and started dancing to it.

Copper walking by looks in, then enters the pub and tells the licencee his licence doesn't include live music or dances...

Benidorm Spain

"

Limiting dancing and singing which could emit lots of the virus into a social space, isn't too great a short term investment, if it saves lives and the economy. "

It’s not saving my life or economy. As a singer who hasn’t worked since March, the lack of income, stress and damage to my mental health is throwing me back into depression, medication and the strong possibility of homelessness. I’ve literally been living on pasta and rice for months, as all my savings have gone. I sensibly paid my rent out of my savings for several months with the hope after lockdown ended, I’d be able to get back to work. It looked like things were starting to come back a bit then the UK put us (Spain) on quarantine list, so cancellations for holidays began again. Of the 140 hotels in this area, only 9-10 are now open, bars closed again and the government here put a ban on entertainers who weren’t self employed being allowed to work.

All bars which remain open are working under incredibly tight restrictions, but answer me why other entertainers like me could be deemed a risk, when we’re all on stages way more than the required 1.5m from the audience.

Dancing I sort of understand as we all dance around getting closer to people than is perceived a safe distance, even more so when you factor alcohol into it.

It’s so bloody frustrating, sad and ultimately dangerous for those who have lost their livelihoods

It was made a law to have music in a pub louder than 85 decibels but it is changed not to include live acts To help the arts

But you can not encourage singalongs

I am a club owner and this was off our council

We are not doing it

Just to give you a idea a general conversation is 80 decibels
