This is what people told me earlier.

Now I just looked at Google and I see that around 1600 people have died out out 24 thousand.

Surely this isn't similar to the flue? Or is it and I've got it wrong.

Flue.. Is part of a chimney

You mean flu.. Which is short for influenza.

Its not Covid 19 but some symptoms are the same.

Covid its self is part of the cold and flu virus, but this is a virus that affects your lungs and major organs, so its more deadly for some ,it does have sone of the symptoms of the flu ,but dont confuse it ...

Some people like to mock people over their grammar despite not knowing anything about that person.

It’s an internet thing.

There's lots of information, if you stay selective on where you look, explaining how flu differs from this virus.

This is much more infectious, so easier to get highly prevalent amongst our population.

For those who don't die, mild symptoms can leave months of suffering and potentially lifelong disability.

Organ damage and failure is typical, including heart, kidneys, lungs, brain. This widespread attack is different to flu.

Our bodies may go into hyper attack mode, where massive internal destruction starts. Flu can be severe and cause death but it doesn't pose this type of internal devastation as a common symptom.

And flu is largely preventable now, with widespread vaccination typically giving herd immunity, leaving an insufficient density of people who can get infected by anyone who has flu. We don't have that opportunity at present with this virus.

Covid-19 is NOT a flu virus. Covid-19 is NOT a cold virus. Corona viruses do form a subset of cold viruses and hopefully this one mutates to a less virulent disease and becomes part of the common cold.

Everything will effect people differently because everyones body is different. That's why medications will have severe side effects for some people but not others, why some smokers get cancer in their 30s and others live into their 90s.

It's not unusual at all that the disease affects people differently, that's just how the world is.

I've saw the same with flu though. I've also saw multiple people exhibit no symptoms at all from covid. I had what amounted to the sniffles when I had it, even though I'm asthmatic. I although I am fairly fit and take my vit c, d and zinc daily. It's such a strange virus with a wide range of seriousness.

Prostate cancer happens in men all the time...I know as I have a enlarged prostate which is kept check on.

And suicides have been on the increase for years now sadly. But neither of these are a virus that is spread through air and touch.

I honestly dont understand why people try to say this virus is not dangerous by trying to point to other things we humans die from too.

Cap d’Agde, France

We’ve both had it (tested positive) as well as 16 of our friends down here in Cap D’Agde, the worst two people affected said it wasn’t as bad as the (real) Flu.

So perhaps we got away with it but have heard of about 40 friends/acquaintances who have tested positive but non have kicked the bucket!

Its 10x worse than flu . In no way comparable. Anyone who thinks otherwise has either not had it or are the lucky ones that it doesn't affect too much.

Having worked as a nurse for 30 +

Years I have never seen anything contagious be as devastating to peoples health and bodies.

Please do not underestimate it

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

From what I understand, Covid19 is a very strange virus. It can seek out weaknesses or make illnesses much worse than they would have been - a friend of mine had Covid then several weeks later he had cellulitis which became uncontrollable and he died from heart failure. I`ve also heard stories of people who`s taste buds have been destroyed or altered so food tastes unappetising so it can attack the nerve system too!
