Reading

I intended to when I went to pay for diesel but they didn’t have one. I asked why they didn’t and they said they knew nothing about it.

Even I got a message to say that if my business has people entering the property then I should get a QR code.

Perhaps it's for businesses where, by design, you're there for 15 minutes or more, like eateries.

You can download a QR scanning App separately from downloading the track and trace app

Regular Stop, Shop and Leave (any high-street shop, including Fuel etc) Don't need to have the QR code.

Only Venues - Such as a Pub Bar Restaurant Cinema or place that you would stay for more than 15 minutes need them.

They don't have to have the Code per-se - they can operate another system of their own. But it is Law that they have to Have one or the other.

Over a million downloads of the app I love it. Using technology to fight the virus. Well done people of UK, well done NHS.

Apart from the fact the NHS App doesn't recognise NHS test results, only Serco ones.

Just a shame you cannot put your negative result on it only positive, then it will send a text to all your phone contacts on your mobile...

Why send to all contacts on you phone and not to all that was at that location at the same time as you.

It can't add contacts to you phone!!

"The scottish app doesnt do this."

Also, the Scottish app does not ask for any personal details, it doesn't scan QR codes however it does work with tests carried out by the NHS unlike the English version. Which should be called Serco track and trace, not NHS track and trace

So just point less looks like your doing the right thing but really just dose not work like filling the form out only works if people do it properly.

It has a few features. Its key 1 is to use bluetooth to look for other app users in close proximity for sustained time periods.

Users can enter positive test results and people who had been close by them get notified and advised on action to take.

Another feature supplements businesses who have to keep a log of visitors contact info, as app users can scan a QR code at the venue instead.

If people don't use anything properly, it doesn't make the app useless. It's a simple facility that works by using Bluetooth to register who is near to you. It's a bit like having a car but not letting it have fuel to operate.

If users won't let it have the 1 thing that's essential for it to be effective, that's their choice, just as not installing it would be

Just on the NHS and Serco test points... I am pretty sure all testing outside of those being admitted to hospitals are tested by the sub contractors.
