Area's with low covid infection rates

I was reading a very interesting article in the local online paper,I do wonder what we are doing so differently,to get a low infection rate in the south east,maybe it is because we are an hour away from the M25 either side,so stuck at the edge of know where land,what's your thoughts?

Low population density

Low BAME population

No crowded metropolitan areas

Not on the way to somewhere else

All these help, and last but not least people have generally been compliant with the restrictions.

I thought we were lucky in sussex to be 17th and 26th lowest at about 200 infections,we live by the sea too,however '2' in Tendering certainly is good news

I live in Worcester.....considerably below average rate. Currently in Cornwall which is even lower despite a rammed August. Looe is still very busy...last Saturday's pub quiz was rammed!!

You beat me to it, i also live in the Tendring district and as you'll know its been manic all summer with holidaymakers and daytrippers, yet despite everyone saying how crowded the streets and beaches were and 'out of towners' bringing their 'diseases' with them, we've got off pretty bloody lightly considering.

Yes these seem to be alot of the reasons why Sussex is quite low too

We are usually a popular holiday destination for the older generation,our councils were very uninviting this summer telling people not to come,cancelling all the big events off course like most places,our beaches were not busy at all,yes we have pebbles but so does Brighton(an hour away) and that was packed like sardines

Maybe the virus doesn’t like the sea breeze....thinking about it though the south generally fairs better with the weather so more chance of people getting a vitamin d top up in the beach areas in the south than in the built up city’s or cold north.
