Ive not seen the show but view this epidemic as something that is controllable, with the right decisions and controls implemented by leaders, with the corresponding changes to lifestyles of the population. It's clear that other countries have been able to get on top of this, keeping the levels of deaths and infections suppressed. That evidence shows that we don't have to have had or will get a dystopian catastrophe.
