I can’t see how we are allowed to sit next to strangers on planes , go in pubs and restaurants , single people can meet on Tinder or whatever , people can meet socially in groups of 6 , but Fab doesn’t want us meeting .

Fab has updated the details on meets and mods often reply to threads such as this. In essence, we each have to abide by the law and rules specific to our locality. Social meets are permitted but not for engagement that would breach the above laws etc.

I'm guessing that they will not be able to support meeets sexually in 2020, as the virus infection numbers are rising, at a seasonal point where we are becoming at greater risk, due to more time indoors and other health problems which will be rising, impacting on health services.

Clubs remain social meets only, for the few that are able to be open. Fab reflects what clubs are doing, all being influenced by the law and everyone's responsibility to help to keep themselves and others at greater levels of safety and good health.

Yes but I just wondered what needs to happen for FAB to say meets are allowed , is it when there is zero cases ? Is it when there is zero cases for say 3 months ?

Yep we can all work in the same building, 14 at my work, we can exercise together, 11 at my class last night, we can only sit in groups of 6 at a pub. Bizarre!

People on Fab are meeting for sex, Covid won’t stop that....

yes i agree with 2022 some clubs that opened for adults are closing again this is a can of worms fab wont go against covid rules and i agree they shouldn't being stupid at the moment will result in round two

I've no idea what is going to happen, but at the beginning when gov where criticised for not doing the lockdown 2weeks earlier, there answer was 'lockdown only has a limited effective shelf life of complience'

We are now 6 months down the line, add to that all the contridictions from masks, to meeting, to the '6' thing,testing collapse, travelling for eye tests, offices are safe, shops are dangerous,

The travel debarcle,

I agree with fab but we are all individuals.Do not condemn people that meet using common sense,ie no kissing.

I think it is wrong to meet but peoples mental needs need to be considered

We would jump at the chance to meet and play but it is too risky at present, it is apparently not even safe to shake hands let alone kiss or have sex with others.

We must just be patient for a bit longer.

For those under 30 who think covid is safe for them, don't risk it, the virus may not kill younger people as often than older people but it does fuck your lungs up with the possibility of ruining the rest of your life or having to have a lung transplant.

None of the rules make much sense these days, I can sit on a plane with a hundred other people but not have ten people round my house that I know but fab are following the guidelines perfectly in my opinion, like I said before, this is a business at the end of the day and like any business they want to protect their brand first and foremost, if they opened the meet section up and there was a trend of cases and came back to them, then that's bad for business, plus also I think they are doing a grand job trying to protect people's health.

We all know people are meeting now and it's up to them if they want to risk their health and there are ways and means to still get meets, a section on a forum isn't the be all and end all in my opinion.
