"No its the question that is the virus going to be the spark that sets off other world events. I am not insinuating any conspiracy theories about the virus or denying that it is serious. " I agree with you, it might sound cliched but things won't be the same again. I think we're only starting to see the upheaval.

"I hate having to say any questioning of things is not denying the virus. Look at the USA. The media are showing rising tensions with the militia, the govenors and the Federal Government. Tensions that befoe covid would never have been so strong. " Covid is not the cause of the issues America is experiencing. It had certainly amplified them but is not causal.

" The powder kegs keep getting added to the pile year on year, but covid has opened the door and placed a lighter at the entrance. Its exposed the situation. Im suggesting that covid will cause chain reactions... one such is the exposure of the issues in the usa to a spark.

"There is the linchpin theory, in which an event, catogorised as an X-event, which is one off in the terms of the theory then causes a chain reaction of other events. Such historical examples are the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and the 2009 Financial Crash. Does anyone else feel that this pandemic is another "X-event". There were so many tensions rising before the pandemic, there was the distrust of the media, the privacy issues online etc and most of all the US tensions. " Yes it is

"But doesn't everything lead to something else? Look long enough and hard enough then I'm sure there'd be a correlation between killing a wasp and a hurricane hitting Ealing Common." Absolutely, our brains like stories and reasons for things so events being random doesn’t sit well with us. We will always seek to make connections, even when there aren’t any.

"I do hope you are wrong but it does make me wonder if it's even more reason not to go into a shell of safety first all the time. Life is for living. Live it......."

"I can see it maybe pushing tensions higher where they already exist. The paranoid conspiracy theorist in me also wonders whether the testing is building a dna library. " . Don't think that is paranoid at all

"I can see it maybe pushing tensions higher where they already exist. The paranoid conspiracy theorist in me also wonders whether the testing is building a dna library. . Don't think that is paranoid at all " I had not even thought of that. Might as well do that too. Most of us unlock phones with finger prints or iris patterns. Then theres the case of DNA services showing your ancestors on a map, giving DNA to government's. Who's to say companies have not already sold finger prints to the government. Now I sound a bit conspiracy theoryist.
