"So who on here now honestly is just trying to get on with life, especially with this... still lurking about" Don't talk about yourself like that.

"So who on here now honestly is just trying to get on with life, especially with this... still lurking about" I think we have to try as best we can. I believe we are far from out of the woods but life must go on. Things don't stop and bills don't just dissappear.

"So who on here now honestly is just trying to get on with life, especially with this... still lurking about" Aren't we always trying to get on with life? Just depends what else is happening around us has an effect on how we choose or how we are able to do so. Pretty sad indictment if we can't manage a bit of disruption for 6 months. We always try and make the best of whatever situation we find ourselves in.

When those we cherish get really shit news that will mean the time together is limited.. We get on with it.. It's something a bit bizarre with this pandemic that others castigate some for as they see it people not getting on with it based upon comparison etc..

"My normal is more isolated than anything like lockdown. I rarely ever ventured into towns and my work is in the wilds alone. Never stopped working during all this crap so its only difference to me is its shut down my dance and music but thats ok, I ve aleays danced outdoors alone as well so it doesn t bother me too much. I am avoiding people more than I ever did. Theres too much judgement of peoples opinions, beliefs and way of life...why we can t just accept and get a long I ll never know. Sad really " Love this

"Been back to “normal” for a while now, following the mask rules (think it’s bollocks, but it is what it is) been going to the pub, eating out etc. When I think about it, I never got that close to anyone anyway, if people don’t invade my space then they always a safe distance away generally. Covid’s done IMO, circa 2000 cases per day and around 20 people per day are dying (who have tested positive for Covid in last 28 days) but not necessarily from Covid itself. I’m looking at the stats and starting to wonder wtf is going on, surely it’s time to stop living in fear and get on with life now?" This is my thinking also. We are now being governed by case numbers, whilst the death rates are now low.

"There will never be an end to Covid. It will never go away. We have to get used to it and get used to living with it. Flu came along, killed hundreds of thousands. We live with it. It's part of our everyday lives. Cancer kills millions. We don't stop eating foods and living lifestyles that increase the risks of getting it. We can't live in fear forever. They say 1 in 2.5 people will get cancer. The odds of catching covid are 4 million to one. If you did catch it, it's 1 in a 100 percent chance of dying. I'll take those odds. I'd rather my life be full of enjoyment and freedom than live a life suppressed and full of fear. Get the sports stadiums back open. Get the leisure centres back up and running. Put concerts and festivals on, and open up all businesses. If people don't wanna risk it then don't go. Give us the decision on how to live our lives. To quote the Shawshank, it's time to either get busy living or get busy dying. I know which I'd rather do!.."

"Living a good life, within sensible precautionary measures. I'm living for the sustenance of all of our health. We've always lived within restrictions, we don't have a right to roam in England, unlike Scotland and have responsibilities as well as liberties. If not taking sensible precautions as finding it like not living, then it's worth taking a look at yourself. It's a difficult time but restrictions have already made things better for our safety. Once you get permanent organ damage or failure, there's no return to the past, likewise if lives are lost. Don't assume that minor symptoms mean that vital organs aren't damaged either. The strong and healthy are less likely to die immediately but the virus is here and we have the responsibility to reduce its impact on to others' health. Get wiser, live responsibly. " Beautifully put

That would only work if your actions didn’t affect others at all, then yes, everyone can do as they please without interference. The more you go out and enjoy yourself cause it’s your decision ‘to get busy living’, the more society suffers as whole, so maybe reaching a compromise is necessary for the common good, I know, alien concept for some

"Yep, I'm getting on with life, it's a different life but going back to living, not just existing, is important for everyone, we just have to adjust some of our behaviours. " Totally agree

Yeah I'm interested in that figure too. That would mean 17 people in the UK (population about 68 million) have caught the virus.
