In my opinion no one and nowhere, unless you want 14 day lockdown on return. Stick pin in the world map, and that's the next country on the hotlist? Winter resort Canary Islands infection rate almost same as April now in GC. Swing clubs closed. Yumbo shut down at midnight.Not looking good for Winter or Christmas.

Given the infection rates in the UK are often the same or higher than most of the destinations on the ‘allowed’ list why should be allow free travel to those areas in the UK but not the ones abroad?

My reasons for not going abroad:

Flight, risk of transmission

Rapidly changing status of countries getting on list of quarantine post hols

Low infection rates don't mean no risk of exposure - getting ill abroad and having to be hospitalised and repatriated (been there done that) even with insurance - no thanks

There are risks whatsoever we do, so it's about managing them, keeping them within your safety zone. I'd expected mile long queues for security and boarding but they seem to be well managed. You could be notified of somebody you sat next to who got infected, quicker than the UK track and trace service, costing us £millions.

Lots of choice, thousands of places in the UK that we've not visited. Or overseas, on short trips. I feel infection levels and personal responsibility for keeping safe is probably higher overseas

Not going on holiday abroad anytime soon as places that take American passports has fallen to a dozen or so places in the entire world. It’s not about wanting to for some, it’s about being able to. No mind that I haven’t been in America in over 5 years. Does show me how privileged I/we usually are to be able to travel with no/little passport controls unlike the majority of the world that need to sort visas etc.

Went to Turkey last week and would go back again next week if I could. Airports were a lot quieter than they usually are, queuing was minimal, as for the risk of infection it’s no different if you use basic common sense wherever you are. Happy Holidays

Exactly. We face risks whatever we do. I came back from Greece a few weeks ago, the airport experience was brilliant, only took me 10 minutes from arrival to be sat in the departure lounge. So much space and not a single queue.

Looking to jet off again as flights are so cheap!

I’m getting the train to Bath then cycling back to Essex. Timed the train when it will be quiet so will keep well away from other people except when eating or staying in hotel. Off tomorrow and quite excited.

Are you going up and then across, or vice versa?

I think I'd be tempted to do the former, maybe take a slightly longer route.

Why would you even think about getting on a plane unless you really had to? Bored of people going abroad then moaning about coming back due to restrictions changes etc. Stay in whatever country you live in... simple ! enjoy a break and help local business/tourism. I went to the Peak District in summer it was amazing.

I have to disagree. I spend a lot of time jetting away to itsly as its cheaper than a weekend away here. Train prices to anywhere are about 4 times my flight price to start with. And I have just for 4 nights in an apartment with beach front in Sicily for less than 70quid. I wouldn't get one night in the uk for that

Holiday? Whats that? 2020 has been a solid year of endless work days and now things have eased a little piles of work has come in which is going to keep me busy into 2021. My gf s due to go on a long weekender, she s a bit miffed cos I ve told her that I can t afford to get locked down so her weekender will possibly turn into a fortnight apart...

Where in pandamic youu should not be travelling abroad and potentially spreading virus.

Please start taking this seriously we xweeks, away from increased deaths and about a few days from increased hospital admissions.

Yes of course they do. Our infections are up by nearly 2500in the last 24 hours, so we're not doing very well. If we take the infection to them, they will end up in lockdown.
