Who here has been tested, and how many times?

Just out of curiosity like the title says, who here has been tested and how many times?

I fly from Seattle to Anchorage once a month, so that means I’ve been tested 10 times so far and it never gets any more uncomfortable.

The airport will not let you leave until you have a test, results take two days to come through, and in the meantime you have to self isolate. I’ve actually seen police come to the hotel I stay in and check that people are in fact quarantined.

It’s working, I think the last time I checked the whole state has had less than 50 deaths.

Wow, It didn’t occur to me that there are people who would be tested weekly, but thinking about it, nurses, medics, people who work in nursing homes would have to be tested often.

"Got a test sent out but not sent it back yet. Had a slight temp and bit of a cough but think my friend who ordered it was being a bit ott "

If you have a cough and temp, then under guidelines, you must isolate. A test would at least give you a definitive answer and potentially release you from your isolation.

Not a definitive answer.

The test does come back and say it only 80% accurate and just because you tested negative it doesn't mean you didn't have it and must follow all social distance rules and self isolate if you have any symptoms.

I think if you are testing as a symptomatic person, you are supposed to get a family member or someone else to post it. You're meant to do the whole leave it on the doorstep thing and get someone from outside your household to post.

That makes more sense, not sure if it said it inside the pack when I did the test, although it was just for the covid tracker app so I would've been asymptomatic anyway

I was tested once, never again, it's horrible and invasive and makes you gag. My test results didn't come back until I was released from hospital, they weren't even there as I was going for my op, that's wen I knew this whole Covid was a scam.

My son and I were tested on Thursday. Both came back negative on Friday as expected. We both have the back to school lurgy.

He's now fine I'm in bed feeling rotten!

The test at the drive through was fine, easy and painless. However I did end up having to put in my work postcode to arrange it as under my home postcode all that came up was Carlisle, Dundee or Newcastle!

Worth trying different postcodes if you're trying to arrange one as that part of it seems to make no sense..

Depends on role and if you’re on the Cambridge trial.

All our staff treating covid patients are tested bi weekly. The Cambridge trial volunteers are every week. Otherwise purely if you have symptoms... interestingly the civilian tests are quicker for results now

Sure, but am I correct in saying, if for example an employee felt the need or Want to get tested.. They can take themselves off to a test centre or request a kit online and get tested in exactly the same was as any other member of the public? I'm kind of losing the understanding where personal responsibility seems to be lost and placed on some nebulous organisation. If an individual, wherever they are employed, or not employed, feels they should be tested... Then they can get tested?
