Should fab meet rules be updated?

The latest government covid rules were updated on 13th August. Should fab covid rules also be updated to reflect this?

The Government now says:

It remains the case that you should not:

* socialise indoors in groups of more than two households (anyone in your support bubble counts as one household)

The implication is it is ok for two households to meet indoors.

But should still "socially distance"....or did you conveniently miss that part out??

Rules state if you’re meeting with other households indoors you still need to socially distance sooo the fab rules are still accurate - socially distant social meets only.

North West

And none of this applies across large swathes of the country, who are not supposed to meet anyone indoors or in the garden. This applies to all Greater Manchester, quite a few areas of Yorkshire/Calderdale, a huge section of Lancashire and Leicester and other places under additional measures.

I suppose you could have a sort of dogging meet in your own home where both couples have separate sofas and do stuff and let each other watch.

tape measure out and make sure sofas are 2 metres apart.

Fuck that would be hard to do wouldn't it ?

Would that be OK ?

its all still a bit to confused and complicated at the moment, especially with the regional stuff, so I suppose its best for the site to keep the status quo... But really...In the real world is anyone playing the lockdown game anymore

We are more or less back to doing everything that we did before lock down .

We make sure we wash our hands often and keep our distance when possible.

Yes where possible...not overtly risking anything plus of course distancing, masking up and carrying hand gel. Definitely avoiding busy spaces.

Yes as nobody is following them anyway so what's the point.

Even big gangbangs are advertised on here again

Yes, I have people I care about and don't want to endanger them

The more people who keep distance, the less people we harm and the closer we get to driving this virus down.

"But Johnny jumped off a bridge, why shouldn't I?"

... Because it's a bad thing to do

But we are now being told this virus may never go away, so we must start asking how long do we keep this up. 1/2/3 more year's or just get on with our lives before we all get to old.

So you want to break the law and risk lives to have sex, because a disease may become endemic?

Agree with this, as local lockdowns are happening more and more frequently.

It's just about being sensible and adapting to this pandemic, not only for you but others ie family, friend's etc.

11 deaths a day in UK is hardly an pandamic disease if all the cars was back on the roads there would be more deaths plus more deaths are due to cancer screening being suspended and scaled down from 45+ a day to 14 now.

Just a quick update on this.

If you are following the local Covid-19 guidance in your country/locality (as some rules are very location specific), as per our post above, that is OK.

This continues to be the case as governments update their guidelines. If you are choosing to meet in a way that follows the guidance at that time, there is no problem.
