Moved our International Holiday/s to 2021.

I know already that if you book a package holiday it will be covered for cancellation.

But. For people who are making new bookings still for this year, have you read any 'specific' exclusions with regard to 'COVID coverage/non-coverage'?

Was looking into this as rearranged a trip to france for october next year. Apparently nationwides cover is the best (covid wise). According to which.

That being said, not sure what it includes and what it doesn't.

If you travel ANYWHERE that is on the governments "don't travel" advisory list (which now includes Spain. Then ALL insurance cover is invalid...

Mine says covered for the usual but not covid. If I catch it I'll just have to remortgage.

kinky land

Tui have a comprehensive covid policy and covid promise

Conversational my annual travel insurance hasn't issued me any amendments but then I don't worry I'll get it again so as long as we as a family are covered for other things

this.....

the holiday itself if booked thru a travel agent is covered under ABTA's rules so therefor if a holiday is cancelled due to this then a refuse is applicable...

if it is flight only... and the government say do not travel then you should be able to get refunded thru either airline or card issuer...

otherwise if you decide to travel if on your own risk.....

Okay. I'll re-phrase the question slightly to 'disclude' any destination NOT on the FCO 'against essential travel list' at time of booking . . . (already knew that)

It's simple.

They have no idea if the situation is going to be from one week to the next at the moment and there is no guarantee that next year is going to be any better.

The days of £50 travel insurance are over for the time being.

So currently most insurance companies have removed the sale of new policies, however some are still selling them. Have a looking on Money Saving Expert.... this shows who will cover for COVID and what they will cover for.

Most won’t cover for cancellation but some will cover if you catch it abroad and need treatment and some will cover you if you catch it before you leave so can’t go on holiday.

No company will cover you to cancel for having to quarantine on return to the UK.

Based on my research the best policies to cover covid related insurance claims are those with packaged bank accounts via nationwide or NatWest and RBS

Because medical costs have gone up. Insurance companies are businesses, if it dont make money then it dont make sense.
