Isolated case apparently, and there is no evidence that covid is transferable to humans.

I don't have pets so I'm not worried.

Leo (the Lion) from next door made his daily visit earlier - do I need to go into 14 days isolation and get tested ? Does Leo need a test too ?

Logically any pet mamal can be susceptible to a virus carried by humans.

Wierdly none of my 2 pet cats from years ago had the flu although they may have been carriers.

I suspect the more feral they are the less likely they will suffer.

I wonder how many cats have caught covid and died never to return home.

Mr Dash, Our Cat says he's spoken with the Cat involved (by telephone) and he's self isolating for 14 days.

You can send donations to the Go Fund Me Dreamies Donations pages.

I don't think many of the UK population that died of bat flu ate them or kept them as pets either

The government have now issued advice to wash you hands before and after touching your pet cat in a Covid uodate

I reckon some joker used his or her home test swab kit on some random cat, parcelled it up, posted it off and got someone else's results.

Probably not too long before dogs, budgies, goldfish and ponies will be mentioned in the same regard

The woman on the news looked like a bit of a fruit loop to be honest, and there's no proof the covid test actually works properly on animals, I wish they would leave the pets alone

We don’t eat cats in the UK, at least not knowingly.

Even if we did, we wouldn’t be eating lukewarm cat soup, unlike the bat-eating originators of the virus.

Just been chatting with a Cat, it was pointed out that us humans should have been more careful. It is highly irresponsible carrying the plague and infecting Pussy Cats. She suggested everyone self isolate, perhaps on the Dogger Bank, but asks that we leave the access code to the pet food. Suggestion was go there at low tide and come back after a month - if anyone’s left...

Apparently the host family and cat fully recovered. I'm guessing that the cat wasn't socially distanced

This really gets me blood boiling. spent a lot of hard work and expense digging up an area of patio and putting in a flower bed only for next doors cat to think it’s a public toilet for them.

“ why can’t they crap in their own garden “ ?.

Yes and like foot and mouth I can envisage governments taking drastic action against pets if it's proven and spreads...
