I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but given Boris, Hancock et al are unlikely to announce that swinging is now out of lockdown we need to make our own judgement..

Do we wait for Fabs to lift the no meeting ban?

Do we wait until a vaccine has been proven and available?

Do we wait until the number of daily new cases hits zero?

Or do we wear rubber on all extremities and take the risk now?

I believe that Fab will keep their restrictions until the government has removed ALL restrictions. Ultimately, swinging involves close physical contact with people from other "bubbles", especially in the clubs. This could result in dozens of different bubbles cross contaminating each other...

potentially It is never safe to meet, you will always spread something from person to person, from a common cold to something serious its all a risk you take, its when you deem it an acceptable risk.

So government wording on lifting the close contact restrictions shall be interesting as they cannot claim it is "safe" again

I always said the earliest reopening of parties would be NYE. But I dont think that'll happen now in all honesty.

I guess in the end it's going to come down to individuals to manage the risks as they see fit. Depending on their location,etc. The type of meet, the amount of people. That sort of thing.

They can't social distance when the schools reopen in September.. There has to be some kind of trial period to bring back gatherings.. Rumours that reducedfootball crowds will be back in September /Oct.. Will that be done sort of signal?

I find this decision a real difficulty. I think 1-1 you can make a bubble ie if fwb. But personally I wouldn’t feel safe to meet more than that for quite some time. Once I’m vaccinated I would consider meets and only then.

It looks like snooker at Sheffield end of July could be the first indoor event with a crowd, all be it not crammed full, from what I can gather they are selling tickets in group bubbles of four, probably spaced two empty seats apart, single and pair tix may go on sale closer to the day to fill upto agreed limit, it's a good start, and definitely better than empty.

I don't think a vaccine will arrove anytime soon if at all in our lifetime.They will find ways of controlling it with certain medication as they have done with other viruses but finding a vaccine to eradicate covid will be near impossible. Things will relax as time moves on and they find preventitive drugs which once someone is infected eleviates the sickness. People will meet for sex, you can't stop human nature but I think certain restrictions will remain in place for nightclub life in particular for a good while yet.

It was announced today - 17% capacity at best at football grounds from October so not sure where anyone thinks social distancing is going this year?

Nothing has been announced, the last figures in taljs between prem league and government the attendance of grounds will be 30 to 40% of capacity. No further statement has been released.

I wont feel safe until there are no new cases for at least 2 weeks ... I think trust ur instinct my instinct says ... no new cases for 2 weeks .. but there again i havr underlying health issues

I wont feel safe until there are no new cases for at least 2 weeks ... I think trust ur instinct my instinct says ... no new cases for 2 weeks .. but there again i havr underlying health issues

In that case 2 weeks probably won't be nearly enough, no people testing positive doesn't mean there are no positives, most people will have mild or no symptoms and won't get tested. People have openly stated here that they won't get tested becauae they can't afford to live for two weeks on sick pay.

Ultimately we as swingers better positioned than most to understand risks involved with close contact with others cpls meeting cpls or singles meeting cpls or singles it’s always a risk for us it’s no kissing others at minute but apart from usual precautions and a good wash and sanitise we good to go but we don’t meet many people or that often so we are happy with that! V loves wearing a mask for fun anyway

I feel that once the government deems it safe enough for nightclubs to be open, most clubs should fall into that category. Close and physical contact can't be avoided in any of these situations. It would be then down to people's own personal discretion.

I have waited patiently for four months ,never been celibate so long it's been hard

When the new rules of sleepovers came into effect,I decided to go into a bubble the following weekend

I did a risk assessment:-

*Not meeting new guys at all till social distancing and all rules end,however long it takes (hence hidden profile I'm not looking for new meets)

*Only meeting established

fuckbuddies I had before covid,I know well and trust

*14 days between meets

*both of us were covid tested before first meet (I get weekly tests,obviously not everybody is able to do that,but my results are reassuring for them)

I'm minimizing risks and following rules,and very happy to be seeing people,other than just work and family,its not just sex I've missed,its the social side too

I won't be returning to my partying mode,till rules are complete history,so I shall be waiting a long time for that,which is not a problem to me

I don't believe in the laws stopping people.

Personally I only want a relationship. I am not intrested in hooking up.

But yeh...hooking up and swinging would be risky and unadvisable but I don't thik you should be forced not to.

I wouldn't do it but I want to meet a soul mate domme woman. If I arrange then to go for a walk/meal with a woman like that then I think it's worth it.

common sense is the way forward. Boris and co are acting on best guess information and its constantly being contradictory.

Living your life on the basis that there's a very small risk of death from a virus is down to the individual person. I fully respect that people are still worried about meeting, but I also believe (like many others), that its time to move on in all walks of life including swinging, clubs, parties etc.

Make your own risk assessment and go from there.
