"probably not.

Why?"

I have no objection to vaccines and believe they are the most valuable tool in the history of modern medicine. But, I'm not in a demographic that would be offered it, and I am very rarely ill. It would not cross my mind to seek it out and I personally feel it would be wasted on me. Someone else can have it instead.

Yes, to help to develop and maintain herd immunity, which helps to protect everyone, including me and the people I care for. It looks like there will be sufficient for everyone and pharmacies sell it for about £10.

It's a good insurance against potentially having flu and covid-19 this winter. We already know that many people who get covid-19 and survive, including those with mild symptoms, can result in then having life long organ damage and failure. Successive viral assault could result in more severe damage. Just battling what may be shorter-tern fatigue will impact many so that they struggle with life.

I always have the flu jab. I will again this year as long as there’s one available - I suspect a lot more people will come forward for it now.

"No.

It can be estimated with less than 100% accuracy but you will get covered for several strains. Immunity may linger for longer than 1 year, so you could be helped for next year. That said, like all insurances, it's taken up just in case and the odda are stacked in your favour from having it. With the choice of no cover or some potential cover against a possible very nasty infection, surely it makes sense to have some likely cover?

A brand new flu vaccine that covers for all flu types has been in trials and so may become available in a year or so, which will be a big help for the world.

This .

I have had the flu twice in my life .

Thd last one being 5 year ago.

It was far far worse than having covid.

I honestly could not get out of bed for 2 weeks.

It honestly felt like I had been hit by a truck.

I would pay for it but I read it's free for over 50s this year .

Doubt it. Only ever had flu once (which I admit, was bad & felt out of sorts for 3-4 weeks) but now with the lack of mingling with other people, mainly shopping online etc, even less likelihood of getting it.

Yes, i have it every year, it's important i do as i have severe asthma plus 2 autoimmune diseases, flu would cause me to be very ill.

I would have it anyway though as herd immunity is important to protect people who can't have the vaccine

Yes. It's my responsibility to do my bit to slow the spread of disease. I'm eligible and if I weren't I'd pay.

I have a relative who cannot get the flu vaccine for medical reasons. I vaccinate first to protect those like him, then to protect myself.

No. I used to have it as I have asthma but I still got ill. I’ve declined it the last 6 years and I’ve been no worse off. When I look at the list of what’s in it including aborted fetal tissue and worse, I really don’t want that put in me!

Yes. Had influenza over new year 2000, completely missed out on all the millennium stuff because i was delirious in bed. Paid to get it every year since. I know it never gives 100% immunity, but getting even just a little protection from flu is worth it to me.

To learn about the content of the flu vaccine from a reputable source:

Note the conspicuous absence of aborted foetal tissue.

Formaldehyde Mercury aluminium gelatin and antibiotics (I’m allergic to many). For my body they’re the worst but in the ethical scheme of things aborted fetal tissue is just atrocious. How the hell did that ever start?

The two times I had flu where after having the flu vaccine maybe its coincidence but since refused to have the vaccine not had the flu...maybe just been lucky who knows but not intending to have the vaccine but thats my choice.

Yes. I’m encouraged to have it in my job. I didn’t last year but I’ve told everyone I know to have it this year. If you get flu and Covid together you will more than likely die. It’s as simple as that. Everyone in my immediate family will have it

No, last year I (hubby) had a violent reaction to it, the only time in 10 years of inoculation as an asthma owner I might add.

However, I have decided that following said reaction I'll take my chances with the flu, which seems to have become extinct as a result of Coroni.

Job done!
