With all these experts & the government guidelines I'd like to hear from those who are in the thick of it all.

I've seen some great comments from workers & have no illusion this virus is nasty.

I also know that there are some hospital workers who have met throughout

If you work within the hospital or indeed any front line care I'd love to hear your experience on this situation, the good, the bad & the ugly!

I live by a major hospital and two next door and in the flat upstairs I know people who work there.

One of these is a nurse who was in the thick of it and had the virus.

She says all is under control she is back on her normal ward and feels the hospital should be getting back to normal quicker.

The other lady is a pharmacist and she feels basically the same.

One of the reasons thing ae not normal is because a lot of staff are getting time off to recover from what they have been through.The nurse was physically and mentally exhausted but is now back at work.We are not being told this fact.I am sure nobody will object to them having time off now.

At the height of the crisis she was working 16-18 hour days six days a week,I respect her so much

Absolutely not, if anyone more than deserves time off it is all the hospital staff & other workers who have worked tirelessly to do their best & ensure peoples health & recovery during these last few months.

Mrs works in a pharmacy. Things were hell at the beginning.

Now though more like it was but she has had about 20/40 (from a list of 70) of the care home patients die in that time, would expect to lose 5 a month so have doubled the amount of deaths in that 4 months. Most of those were also at the begining when the flu season was also around.

Front line... awaiting the second wave. West Wales has been lucky, but with lifting of travel restrictions, and the area busier than peak season with visitors, I feel it's a matter of time until we get the next wave. Numbers of cases across Wales as a whole have not gone down that much, so I feel it's still a massive risk

I am back to seeing patients at full capacity as we "back to normal"

But

Drs are still not seeing face to face and plans are afoot for us to run the flu clinics covid friendly and preparations for the "2nd wave"

So really dont know what the hell is going on .even to the point the numbers are drastically reducing .k

Us GPs would please like it to be known that we have still seen patients who need a face to face, managed those with symptoms in hot sites, we are busier than ever and life is back to business as usual, but the new normal is never going to be the same, telephone triage and video consults have been a revelation. My nurses are back to fully booked face to face now
