Bearing in mind we are now in July and not much else has been said about easing further restrictions.

A lot goes on behind the scenes that Jo public don't get to hear about.

Is it me or is anyone else coming to the realisation that come December there will be no Christmas parties, no carol singing in church ! no panto !

even a lights switch on has been cancelled.

This would be Scrooge's dream !

This is actually a very real concern for the hospitality and the entertainment industries. On top of the already huge loss of revenue loss of the Christmas income will be the final straw. Add in to that the knock on effect for all related suppliers and businesses and it is a big problem

exactly this people soon will need to start to book ahead but having lost money already we are wary of making any bookings for fear of events not going ahead so like you say hospitality will be crippled.

round here i should imagine new years eve will be a rave at the old netropolitan police sports club thats been closed for years bern partys up there for the last 7 or 8 weeks

I feel the reason for the rush to get pubs, hospitality etc up and running is because the government fear a second Spike in the winter.

So they need to get these places open again so they won't be closed for nearly a whole year. Christmas and winter will be very miserable with a lock down or another large increase in infections.
