I've been off the site since lockdown started and came back on for the social stuff, and hopefully arrange some fun when it's all over. Naturally I posted on my profile that I'm not meeting at the the moment because of Covid, thinking that this was a courtesy to avoid wasting anyone's time.

I was not expecting the vitriol and abuse I got from people (guys) who seemed to take personal affront to my health choices. WTF? Was not expecting that! Is this a common occurrence?

I haven't had abuse but i must get over 50 messages a day due to the fact I work away from home so everyone local to me in them two places message me a lot and they're all blokes so I can definitely see some of them getting ratty if you reject their offers.

No abuse but people wanting meets cant seem to understand why we choose not to plus they are being much more pushy at the moment.

The reason why we've filtered single men out. Some can't take no for an answer.

The amount of abuse is bad at the moment from both men and women. No idea what is happening, must be lockdown frustration.

I have had messages from couples expecting a hotel meet. I wouldn’t even do that under normal circumstances without a social first, but don’t they have anyone they know that could be at risk at the moment?!

Lockdown has definitely sent some people crazy/ ier I think.

We haven't put anything public on our profile about not meeting during all this but we have noticed (since Saturday mainly) a lot more people asking slyly for a meet.

Well they think they are being sly.

We get a fair bit of abuse from rejection messages but the sheer level of hate in some of the messages we've had is jaw dropping.

It does seem lockdown frustration has evolved into rage for some.

Many people I see, guys in particular, seem under the impression that everyone has the same needs, plans and expectations for being logged in here. Younger men, in particular, seem to be the ones prepared to take the biggest risks, so it may help to block them, if this matches your experience. Ive been fortunate to not have had recent abuse.

You can always search and find people to message yourselfm

Report any inappropriate behaviour, including abuse, to Admin.

This pretty much, Their pride has been dented by refusal and they feel the need to lash out. There are a few reasons a lot of people don't reply to say no thanks, one of them seems to be that taking the time and effort to reply attracts the abusive hurt pride brigade... It should really be viewed with amusement, only one message previously you were the best thing since sliced bread...

Yes I did block and report. Funny thing was, it wasn't like I actually rejected them personally. They didn't even try and ask for a meet, they just straight up had a go at me for not meeting because of Covid.... 2 of them very rude and aggressive, another with snide remarks and sarcasm!

I'm used to guys feeling butt hurt because although I'm bi I don't hookup with guys one on one. This was a whole new level of douchebaggery, even for this site lol!

Likewise for us too. We would rather receive no messages than abusive ones.

Not exactly abusive, but I have had lots of messages looking for meets & when I've declined saying that I'm not meeting due to the current situation I've had a few fake virus/conspiracy theory type responses. My block list has certainly grown a lot since March.

I had a message from a couple, who were outraged when I said no thanks to meeting them at their place during the height of Lockdown. Complete strangers never met them before what on earth could be safer than popping round for a shag when over 800 people a day were dying.

They preached about how the lockdown was fucking mental.

I deleted the message and did the safest possible thing, I fully enjoyed a Covid free playtime with my left hand, whilst chatting to a "friend" who was sending me videos of her fucking herself with massive dildo and my name written in lipstick above her cunt.

"I have also received an abusive message from a guy, he called me a c*** for not meeting, he told me this is a sex site and to use social media for keeping in touch with friends!! Then blocked me so I couldn’t reply!! He was reported! "

Yup, I've had the 'sex site' messages. It's a swinging site, big difference. Just because sex is involved it doesn't have to be with anyone who asks for it.

If you have things ticked on your 'looking for' list, you show up on searches.

Looking for

Men

Couples

Women

Etc

Delete all those, you don't show up on searches. Massively stops the mail!

I have had times on here where I've taken a break by blocking literally everyone from messaging, thus keeping my profile visible to friends etc. I find this works if it's any help to anyone. Xx

Not had abuse over this reason...

I've heard it all now

Must admit though, lots want to meet for sex rather than the social you are allowed.

We have had no abuse and to be fair not many messages at all, those that do ask about meeting we tell them we are not meeting for the foreseeable future and they are fine about it.

Have to say I have noticed more nasty and mean comments towards others in the forum in general, not sure if people are more grumpy than usual with lockdown but they certainly don’t do themselves any favours for when people are looking to meet again.

Well just had to tell you my recent you must be joking moment.

Guy messaged to say how he'd just filled a married woman with cum and did I want her sloppy cum inside me. Said no as noone is supposed to be meeting for sex with anyone. He then told me he'd been active all through the lockdown. Said he was never ever going to meet me as he'd admitted being bareback anyway and my health mattered. His reply well if you're not here for sex then fuck off. Instant block

I've had loads of abuse for not meeting. Telling me I'm a sheep and to do my own investigations to find the truth.

Truth is, I've cared for a ppl recovering from this crap. So I'm a super spreader.

It's not been that bad for me. I tend to take the initiative and anyone who messages me gets a response of - Happy to chat on here but I am not meeting for the foreseeable future because I am high risk - and most people do seem to be fairly understanding about that.

I have had a couple of the 'virus is all lies' people near the beginning of lockdown, but mostly I have been lucky.
