In my happy place

Has anyone actually been paidback by TUI yet?

My refund said 84 weeks...

That's passed.

We cancelled on the 18th of March for a trip booked for 9th of April. We received the refund on the 1st of May so that about 6 weeks. I think you will receive your refund anyway, just with a delay .

They cancelled ours by text on Saturday 14th March, 2 days before departure. Possibly prompted by Jet2 flights turning back from Spain.

It took almost 2 months for them to refund. No email of apology ever appeared.

Wakefield/Leeds

TUI Has been an absolute nightmare but we did get refunded for a trip that was booked to Italy since January, flight in May.

After being given the wrong info by one of their reps, we latched on to that and that kinda forced their hands a little and we were able to get our money back. The deposit was lost though, however they were kind enough to allow us to move the trip to October at a time they thought travel would be safe again. Still not certain it would be but will see what happens.

But definitely, getting your money back is a difficult undertaking from what we experienced!

We had our holiday cancelled. Waited until we received the refund code via email then called them to discuss options. Took about 15 minutes to get through then told them I didn't want to rebook and would like a refund. Money was back on my credit card the next day. No hassle at all.
