"Not only Guernsey.......the Isle of Man too. Good news " The IOM is now 30+ consec days of no new cases and officially (at the moment!!!) virus free.Everything is pretty well back to their "new normal" Importantly though, the borders remain closed for the foreseeable future. My understanding is IOM, Guernsey and Iceland are all currently virus(new cases) free

We have been at our house there since mid March. As you rightly point out the borders between the IOM & UK remain closed which is of course what has led us to be able to safely remove restrictions ahead of other places.

Did it feel easy to go back to normality around other people?

No fast ferry at the moment. Not sure if Condor freighter carrying passengers. No visitors/tourists yet so no beer trip sadly !!

Essential travel only to and from the Channel Islands at the moment and 14 days quarantine when you enter the islands. Strangely enough they are exempt from quarantining when arriving in the UK. It looks like travel restrictions could be lifted from July. Jersey currently have 5 live cases.

"We didn't expect it would but it was surprisingly easy. Guess we felt reassured by the way the IOM Govt has dealt with the crisis and that there hasn't been a reported case for 31 days now. Also, people on the Island fell into line with the SD requirements and even the 40mph speed limit on all roads which was put into place to reduce the possibility of road accidents and the resulting impact on Police and Health Services. Have been to our local a couple of times now and the one single requirement is that you are requested not to stand at the bar after being served your drinks (Wasn't a requirement before in our local)" Fantastic news... Shows what can happen I'm guessing no protests, no crammed beaches, no raves...

Crammed beaches are much less of a likelihood here than the Channel Islands at any time due to our climate!!!

"Guernsey is now 10 weeks without cases. The 14 days quarantine for people arriving from the UK is remaining until the beginning of September. Everything feels normal now apart from the off island travel. We can go to the Isle of Man via a new "air bridge" without quarantine on return. It's a good place to be at present. Hope all you UK Fabsters are well " Isle of Man has now gone 50 days without a covid case, and residents can now travel to UK but must self isolate for 14 days on returning to the island.
