"Lets hope it doesnt get worse, but it does seem like a very little amount to have a lockdown on doesnt it?It is why they do not have the problems of the UK,best to actThat is right, you have to act quick like they have to avoid it " And just like you say: “ Lets hope it doesnt get worse” That explains why they have to put restrictions in place - that’s how you stop it from getting worse.

"Channel 4 news reported that Germany r rate had risen to 1.79?" Latest figure is 2.88 but due to just 2 isolated outbreaks each of a few dozen cases. Proving that the R rate is basically bollocks and guess work. The ONS are carrying out large scale, random, testing in the community. Thus getting an idea of the actual amont of virus in the population at large. In two weeks (up to Thursday just gone...and reported by the head of ONS at the weekend) infection rate dropped from 0.26% of population to 0.06%. It dropped more than 4 fold in a fortnight....suggesting R rate of 0.5 in the community overall. Quoted R rate is distorted by individual outbreaks in isolated areas....
