Victoria in Australia has gone back into lockdown after 25 new cases were confirmed today not good at all if they getting new cases

One asymptomatic case soon becomes 25 confirmed and who knows how many out there still not tested.

That's why people shouldn't be screaming for more freedom and 1m instead of 2m and end shielding thinking it's over when the UK is still testing 1000-1500 a DAY positive.

That explains why they have to put restrictions in place - that’s how you stop it from getting worse.

Latest figure is 2.88 but due to just 2 isolated outbreaks each of a few dozen cases.

Proving that the R rate is basically bollocks and guess work.

The ONS are carrying out large scale, random, testing in the community. Thus getting an idea of the actual amont of virus in the population at large.

In two weeks (up to Thursday just gone...and reported by the head of ONS at the weekend) infection rate dropped from 0.26% of population to 0.06%. It dropped more than 4 fold in a fortnight....suggesting R rate of 0.5 in the community overall.

Quoted R rate is distorted by individual outbreaks in isolated areas....
