My postie has been excellent

Can't say I've noticed that they stopped delivering any less, though I had post today.

As far as I'm aware they've never missed a day up here so didn't realise there was any reduction in service tbh

I literally had no idea they had even stopped until I saw the OP! My postie has been working the entire time and always has time for a cheery hello and how do you do! Can’t fault the postal service in my area

We didnt know they ran reduced services. Sure, stuff was a little slower to arrive but we chalked it up to mail volume.

Yes I had mail delivered today. Some thing's have been slow coming. I forgot I had ordered the thing that came today, it was like getting a surprise present.

The best kind. We had one today, unfortunately though it was a card saying I had a customs charge to pay. Damn!

"Aboout timer thy have been very poor dispite the virus"

What a shock it is that a company who have got a third of their staff off due to shielding and self isolating while having heavier volume of work than at their busiest time of year have struggled to provide their service to 100% of houses 100% of the time

Many posties are working 12+ hours a day, 6 days a week with little ppe or social distancing to try and ensure that stuff gets delivered. Why don’t you give it a go and see how it feels

A little bit of patience and empathy wouldn't go amiss.

Both seem to be lacking lately.

"Haven't had any Saturday mail delivery for 6 weeks but it resumed today..

Royal Mail suspended Saturday letter deliveries 6 weeks ago to focus of the huge volume of parcels coming into the network. It was due to be lifted next week but they resumed normal service a week early than originally scheduled

My local posties have been doing an excellent job. And the hotwife jewellery I sell hasnt been seriously delayed to my customers. Although I did have to suspend international posting for a while.

In urban areas especially areas of deprivation there have increased assaults on Posties. During the lockdown i have discovered my female Postie is related (aunt) to a good friend! She has been verbally abused and spat at on a number of occasions during lockdown. Apparently predominantly but not exclusively by men. She thinks it’s due to rise in Domestic Violence...... Sad times.....

Not enough cops anymore. I haven’t seen a cop in flesh apart from police cars on the motorway for more than 6 months. I know there’s been the lockdown but it’s the same in normal times.

Sadly this is happening everywhere. I dare say Pretty much all public facing jobs will have a story to tell now. My team have had to face the worst DAILY abuse during this whole pandemic. Why? Because people havent been allowed to do whatever they want or buy whatever they want.

To be fair the police have done a fantastic job around here, regular visits to check in with the team and the response when called has been good to along with the follow up after the arrests.

I've said this all along, we are a nation of spoiled brats, instead of accepting the lockdown and just getting on with things.

Assaulting a postman/woman, why? Humanity boggles my mind.
