I haven't had it confirmed I had it. But after what I did have I felt like I had days were even going to the kitchen felt like to much. This persisted for weeks after the actual virus I had buggered off.. as did the cough x

Yes it affects the lungs and based on xrays takes long time to repair damage depending on the severity.

So fatigue is common due to reduction in o2 delivery

I get them sometimes have done for years,nnothing to do wsith covid.Also have a permanent cough have done for years.

These things could be down to many things,if troubled phone your doctor.

No. I have just sometimes had normal seasonal hay fever symptoms like sneezing and coughing, it got better when I took a hay fever tablet.

I meant allergy tablet.

The wife tested covid +tive early March, without the more obvious symptoms. No fever or cough but periods of tiredness. Within 2 weeks I was the same but I'm untested. One or two days completely exhausted and then bounce back for a week or two. Happened over and over. Anyone else had this experience??

We're getting worried as weeks have passed.

It's absolutely horrific. Post viral fatigue isn't specific to covid-19 but how it's caused physiologically may be to some extent. Little is understood about the generic problem. Lung damage and reduced Oxygen uptake and availability as someone said, could be behind some of it but probably not all of it imo - some infections that result in this aren't involved in lung damage to a similar level if at all. It may be sustained inflammation, perhaps affecting vital organs, the brain, there's so much not known yet.

My advice. Keep life simple and remove anything that stresses you. Anything. Manage your time and energy expenditure wisely. Take small steps to change things, don't overload yourself, guess you know this!

Many people have been speaking out about this.There has been an interesting article forwarded to me regarding this and the suggestion it could result in a upsurge of CFS (M.E), which makes absolute sense considering it's a post viral illness.

Having seen first hand my Father and lovely vibrant best friend succumb to this horrendous illness I wouldn't wish it on anyone - and hope it's not the case.

Yep. I had non-standard symptoms. Stomach cramps, sever fatigue and loss of smell. Got over it in a few days. Since then I’ve had about half a dozen periods of extreme fatigue that lasts for about half a day. A colleague of mine has had reoccurring sever fatigue on a more or less daily basis.
