"Most people won't stand for not being able to hug their children, grandparents ect. There comes a time when we are all going to have Make a choice about risk and The need for human contact. Yes at the moment it is too soon but unless we get a vaccine in the next couple of months which looks unlikely. I think people will pretty much take the view it's worth the risk. Personally when it comes to meeting people from here, for me that will not happen until I feel it's safe enough it doesn't matter how long that takes. However I am not single it must be very difficult for people are single and live alone. " It is very difficult for us singles living alone. I haven’t met my FWB since February and I’ve had my birthday last week!

"The risks to mental health let alone civil society could possibly be greater than not allowing people to meet the government is doing its maths....and will allow meeeting..already domestic murders have risen in many areas. The press are just playing them down.. " Agreed. It’s not just about sex. We have a biological need for touch and it will get to a point where the impact on mental health will outweigh the risks from the virus. People who live alone would start to need this and break the rules eventually, we are literally fighting human nature. It is easy to label these people as selfish if you don’t live alone and are able to have this fundamental human need met.

It's not about sex its about touch.. companionship.. so we will be allowed to mix this year. Or allowed or not people will. It is easy to judge people selfish but sorry it's just a basic need and actually could do more good than harm.

"However I cut it or think about it, I cannot see the government allowing anyone from another household meeting another person(s) from another household and not maintain 2m social distancing for at least the rest of this year. Soma social outdoor meet with social distancing is already allowed, but being able to touch and play I think will be out for the rest of the year Some however will Play a numbers game and take a risk I suspect " You're entitled to your opinion. We are all aware that some people have been meeting regardless, and some people have pointed that out on this thread. Your television statement is irrelevant, nobody needs a television to know whether people meet or don't meet.

I believe that when hospitality opens up on 3rd July they will relax the rules further so people can meet up. If restaurants and hotels are opening up, then people will be expected to go for a meal , and or travel with their partners and stay overnight in a hotel. Clubs are less likely to open in July as I don't think that mass gatherings will be allowed that soon, but they will open sometime later.

"The logic I fail to see is how people can work less than 2m apart yet cant indulge with a Fwb sexually? The mental shit living on your own and having zero connection to the outside world will massively impact some people. There has to be a reason behind this making sex illegal but unsure what. It cant be just health.... the other reasoning has all been financially geared" This ruling is causing a huge increase in mental health issues. You have couples that for whatever reasons cant cohabit and they are being ripped apart. Some managed to move in at the start ( I initially did this but then realised damn... I dont like having anyone here) but for many.. this is now too long... and then there is the singles who are being forced to have zero physical contact. To be fair I can not see the social distancing staying for too much longer... in a shop.. public places possibly... but I've seen loads of people hugging family this week. Something I'd not seen much of till recently .

Although obviously due ethical reasons this isn’t something that can be manipulated as an independent variable in recent research, so research tends to be correlational. To be fair, correlation doesn’t equal causation, but there is a lot of consensus touch deprivation is well established.

Not all but I cant imagine these poor people stuck totally alone. I have a housefull since lockdown and did initially have a vanilla fwb move in... I still get to see my kids.. and I actually enjoy the alone time when I nip out. Or like this weekend when my oldest went out to meet mates.. omg it was bliss.. Funny enough I thought it would be much harder to keep my sexual addiction in check but the fact I have no option was awful at first but I've mostly got a handle on that now... but I miss the social and very tactile interactions with my friends... and actually having seen them recently made me feel worse than not seeing them. To be so close but not be able to have a hug.. it was awful.

"It’s not about sex, it’s about a biological need for physical touch. There was a study carried out by Spitz in the 1940s where babies were separated into two groups, both raised in a sterile environment but one group without physical contact. After 4 months almost half of the babies without touch died and they stopped the experiment Anyone that thinks that touch isn’t important isn’t familiar with the studies in this area That’s not exactly what happened in Spitz’s research. He didn’t experiment on children but observed children under different conditions, with different levels of contact and compared their development. " Touch is massively important a hug from my kids or my family or my friends absolutely! NSA sex? Nah I’ll live without until I can be sure my sexual appetite won’t put my loved ones at risk. If the only human touch people get is from a site like this that makes me very very sad for that person

Pretty much this. I am single and I'm already at the point where I need that interaction of just a hug. So much so that it's really getting me down now . I can't wait to be able to get one from those closest too me. There is no way I can wait until next year " and you’ll find that from an NSA meet? Really? Don’t you have friends family? People that love you and want to be with you in a non sexual physical sense? People that you trust? I wouldn’t trust a fan male one hit wonder with my health that’s a certainty.

" It is awful not to hug friends isn’t it I almost wish I’d not seen my family as this part is the worst ... I feel you (well I can’t but you know what I mean)

Let’s not romantisise it .. people meeting when conditions are dodgy will be meeting anyone that will have them .... not my kind of ‘physical touch’ if you’re 10th that week. " I think everyone on here prioritises there family and friends first.. although 99.9% of my friends are on here or swingers... and I disagree with your final statement. As there are a lot of people that are saying they want to meet their regular meets. I'm going without currently because my sexual contact usually comes from club meets only. Although I do have a club buddy and a fwb ( one of my few non fab friends) Not sure why being 10th that day matters though... but then I normally only do group play.

"However I cut it or think about it, I cannot see the government allowing anyone from another household meeting another person(s) from another household and not maintain 2m social distancing for at least the rest of this year. Soma social outdoor meet with social distancing is already allowed, but being able to touch and play I think will be out for the rest of the year Some however will Play a numbers game and take a risk I suspect " So the governments viewpoint is important ? Does anyone seriously take what is ‘allowed’ and make it part of their life? ..... for those that use this as a filter, we are, we believe socially responsible, sensible people.... but if people expressing views is a filter, crack on! Filter, block.

Once close contact with anyone is allowed, then meets will be allowed too. I personally would not want us to be in a situation where some close contact is allowed but there are laws governing who that should be with. This would indeed be a step too far I imagine that once close contact is allowed there will be the same advice as surrounding meeting people outside now- avoid meeting people from multiple households in quick succession I personally will not be using this site as I do during normal times any time in the near future. But as soon as I can meet my fb, then it’s on. Other people will find new meets on here or might use the site to find a covid fwb. Hopefully the majority will use good judgement and won’t meet 10 people in a week, but some will. But having laws dictating the nature of the close contact we have, and who exactly we can have that with, no thanks.

I wouldn't trust a Fab one hit wonder either (some of the females are as crazy as some of the men) but this situation really sucks. I think all/most of my physical affection in the last couple of years has been through Fab or people I have known and stayed in touch with via Fab. Right now it is zero with no real prospect of it changing for months, perhaps not this year, and part of me is dying and taking me back to places I have been in the past I don't want to visit again. Right now at home with teenage kids who don't hug Dad as they are teenage kids and soon to be ex-wife from whom I was separated but now stuck together for a little longer. Certainly no hugs from her - on the contrary makes me realise what I miss even more. Even if meet friends and family it is 2 meters apart. No easy answers to this depressing clusterfuck.

The government can't keep people away from each other for that long as it smacks of 1984 and a dictatorship ruling population growth. Humans need interaction. They can not prevent relationships between people, its not natural. People will break the rules knowing that they will not receive a criminal record (it's only rules). Try telling a fresh new under-twenties couple not to meet and see what happens?

"I've wrote this year off for that sort of thing. Roll on 2021" Me too. April 2021 is my target date but not counting on it for a sure thing. Saw an incredibly hot lady in the Tesco que recently but thought jut switched off. My biggest fear is loss of condfidence with a new person. Being slightly autistic, going to clubs were a big asset to building my confidence meeting new people and relaxing in a social setting. It's easy and hard for me. I may just stop doing nsa meets and going to swing clubs.

" It's interesting that this lack of touch and contact is perhaps a bigger issue in this country now that we have a much greater amount of people who live alone, compared to years past. Many would have had work life interacting with others, before the lockdown. We have a large number of single people now. Lots of factors that aren't great when people are isolated and without touch. Video conferencing doesn't cut it.

This woman had at least four different meets with four different men over the past two months. Again, she admitted to being a key worker. This woman sent me the screen shot then blocked me. I can't work out her agenda but thought fab moderators might like to know but she is still online. Send it to the mods and they will deal with it.Already did a week ago but she's been appearing regularly online still. I've taken a screenshot of her screenshot of veris too but nobody has contacted me about it. " You seem obsessed with her? The mods will deal with it.

I mentioned the new example, someone asked me about the previous example with the screen shots. I merely responded to your suggestion that the mods would act upon reporting which isn't the case here. I think the climate of feeling has shifted since Cummings. The consensus was that if you broke lock down rules you were an idiot and selfish. Now the stance has softened from people being brazen to people being indifferent.

"True, people being able to do whatever they like behind closed doors has been enshrined in common law for centuries. Government can only control what you do in a public place, i.e. when you leave your home. Hence, all new guidelines have been focussed on reasons for leaving home. Everyone will have their own breaking point or risk management level. Mine will be Corvid Alert level 3 ( July ). If you are physically well - no symptoms - you take your temperature everyday - then cannot see problem between two consenting and healthy adults. Support Bubbles will be used as a loophole for sure by horny peeps ... " As Hancock said today -approx 80% of infections are asymptomatic so it's not so simple

"There seem to be a lot of very overly paranoid people about ..." Do you know anyone who has died? My friend lost her life due to complications of COVID. The infection damaged her lungs, spleen, kidneys and liver, and she died of kidney failure, which is a horrible way to go. She was 25 years old and had a young daughter. When people say 'Oh, it's a hoax' or 'Oh, it's just paranoia'... it seems disrespectful to people who have died, and those who have lost loved ones, and those of us who are high risk.

My aunt was infected and my mum's friend died from the coronavirus quite early on in the pandemic. Some reasons for breaking the rules are more understandable than others. But there is an argument for decreasing the distance from 2m to 1.5 or even 1 as other countries have done. Venues operating with 2m distancing means capacity is restricted so operating at a loss.

We obviously need them to be far lower, before winter predicted big increases. As far casual sex, we need levels lower too and not to be increased by all of the relaxed restrictions.
