I think the changes are that before it was the person going to the house that would get fined, now you both do.

The actual guidance says in england you can walk through a person's house to access their garden and you can use their toilet.

So my excuse is I'm having a major shit.

Even if you are caught and fined it's only £50 if you pay it in first 2 weeks. Compare that to price of hotel room for example and there's many that won't find that much of a deterrent

hahahaha - Can't believe you read the Sun. (spit)

Everybody knows it's still illegal to let strangers into your house (except for access to the garden). The Sun (spit) just added the word SEX because that's responsible journalism. The Same Clause makes it also illegal to murder a journalist not from your own household from within your own household. So. Please do that outside.

Oh according to some people they can tell you what to do in your own home.

Well a police officer did try that with me, stopped him at my front gate and said your jurisdiction stops there. He mentioned something about obtaining a court warrant if he had to. I told him to make sure he brought the insurance certificate that secures the warrant because if he doesn't, then he is personally liable for the trespass on my property. He looked confused so I put it to him in plain English, if I take my car a private vehicle onto a public road, it has to be insured, some thing applies if a public servant wishes to come onto my private property, he must be insured.

With that he left, this is how I know this works.

Governments work for us we employ them, they don't do as they are told then it's P45 time.

Your home is your castle you do what you want in your private home

As the regulation was passed as an act of Parliament it becomes a law and therefore enforceable..same as many regulations they are acts of parliments...eg health and safety act are also classed as regulations but classed as offences punishable in court...

You can also demand to see the original warrant thats been signed with wet ink..ie a real pen...old and archaic but would confound most police in the UK as they would use a printed warrant thats now emailed from the court, the majority of warrant master copies are archived by the court..only serious cases where they may be checked and contested is the original forwarded to the police in England and Wales Scotland slightly different..but do wonder how many JPs are in court to sign warrants..?

Even better one if you drove there..you can say you had alcohol and therefore was in an unfit condition to drive so stayed the night in order to not break the law by driving under the influence of alcohol, you obeyed social distancing by sleeping in separate rooms.....well ventilated by having open windows and the moans and groans they heard was you watching porn...

Without a Parabolic Listening device and a trained set of ears I doubt you can check on couples having their wicked and god damn right to have each other

I would be surprised if this got off the ground abd I’ve checked the news media and the usual shit ones all going on about it yet the BBC ( not to be confused with the other acronym of BBC) have not mentioned it

It’s a people’s Liberty taking away their rights and if they make it official today I think it will cause a lot of damage as well as a far more serious problem with peoples mental health and physical health too

Indeed. I can't sit in the canteen at work with colleagues, or make a cup of tea as they can't clean the kettle between use but I can sit in a packed tube, cheek by jowl with other commuters.

As a south African who lived through the 1994 elections, Mandela didn't run the country long enough for his vision to be realised, he was too old to run a country by the time he was released.... So no the uncivilised unrest is nothing to do with him.... It went tits up with Jacob Zuma and his cronies over threw Mandela's choice replacement Thabo Mbeki.... Zuma won the popularity vote amongst people while Mbeki was out of the country trying to build investment relationships, and convinced people that Mbeki was an absent president because he wasnt out shaking hands with joe blog.... And that's my political history lesson for the day

The police haven't been given the power to enter your home in order to enforce that or any other lockdown 'rule', so they wouldn't be able to do anything about it even if they wanted to

From the Mirror article that the original poster linked to:

''No10 added officers have no powers to enter someone's home for breaking the lockdown rules - unless they suspect "serious" crime''

its an interpretation - it states

“7.—(1) During the emergency period, unless paragraph (2) applies, no person may participate in a gathering which takes place in a public or private place—

It was, and the reason is still valid, but I could sit with my son at his house or mine and have a beer with him 2 metres from him better than I can stay 2 metres away from customers at work and him at his place of work the same.

why is meeting family a greater risk that being in a supermarket with loads of random people.

I agree house parties would be silly, but visiting family and close friends being dangerous - really !

take away the 'sex is illegal' line and what they are saying is you cant visit friends its dangerous … yeh right, I am sure all those nice MP's are happily visiting !

You meet someone for a quick shag etc. then a week or so later you feel unwell, see where i am going here. You het worse, you end up with Covid. Possibly, not sure why the glib headlines are being bandied around so readily and unchallenged. Certainly every TV advert is telling me I must be suffering with mental health issues now I've been in my house for 10 weeks.

Yes, whenever that might be - but after 10 weeks they've felt it necessary to clarify specifics, so those restrictions are obviously not being eased anytime soon...

"

Ok...

prove us wrong?

Firstly explain why the police need insurance to step on your property... and where is this documented?

Trespass is also a civil offence.. so good luck with that one... and if a person entering the boundary of another persons property was case for possible liable action should something go wrong.. well royal mail and parcel force would be leaving your parcels on the street.

Various laws from section 32 / 17 / and common law grant them entry without a warrant on certain conditions.

Then there's section 8 warrants, again obtained at a court with a power of entry.. and nope.. no insurance certificate or swimming badge needed for those.

Driving insurance has jack all to do with a power of entry and is a terrible comparison .. your logic then dictates if you want to go into ASDA and buy some shopping you have to be insured in case you damage a shelf..

Also like all organisations they have standing public liability insurance.

But thankfully we've never had the police come to our door (that's a lie, they did warn us about recent thefts in the area and offered advice) and we've never had to explain this to them.. oddly the police don't have any reason to come to our door and I don't have to pretend I know what i'm talking about..

And also.. it ain't my government. I simply subscribe to knowledge is power and like to know what people can and can't do should the situation ever arise.

Try searching google.. that'll give you a helping hand and probably stop you building a moat for your castle, unless you want a moat.. but beware you need planning permission for em.. pesky government.

And that's my political history lesson for the day "

Ok if they step foot on your property and they cause damage or harm to your property, if the warrant isnt insured then the police officer is personally liable.

Parcel Force and Royal mail arent coming to your property telling you what to do on your own property are they? Asda will have public liability insurance in case you damage a shelf.

Now back to t warrant, if as you say their public insurance covers them to come onto Private Property and inflict damage or perform an assualt or battery on you to say for example to drag you into court because you havent paid a fine? then they should present a copy of that insurance document, ever wondered why they dont produce the insurance document, because it doesnt cover them to come onto PRIVATE property, thats why, and because 95% of the people dont challenge it then they will continue to try to get away with it whilst the 95% of people think they have that right to do so.

So your response to fact is to give your opinion.

It's a fact they don't need to produce a certificate.

It's a fact that should they damage something inside your house the public liability insurance they have covers that.

You deflect the arguement you posted about people stepping onto your property by changing the context of your arguement. Firstly you say stepping onto your property, now you say to assault you and damage your property.

I doubt royal mail wants to punch you.. well..

Oh and do you honestly think some of the most organised crime gangs in the uk don't research the law.. and when the police turn up at the door with a warrant just happen to have missed this amazing insurance certificate defence you have stumbled on... nooooo... why.. because that's not a thing.

Plus if you have insurance you don't need to carry a copy of the certificate with you everywhere you go.. if you're insured.. well you're insured..

Also the police don't enforce fines.. the court passes them on to the court bailiffs.. so that's nonsense.

So far none of what you have said makes any sense. But hey if you want to believe you took a stand, puffed your chest out and scared the nasty police man away.. well power to you.

We're yet to find ourselves corrected by your lack of facts and poor examples.

And as for dancing to the government's tune, as stated before power is knowledge.. we would rather be armed with the facts than giving the cops a good laugh as we scream get out of my castle and where is the direct line insurance form.

We simply can't stand people posting complete rubbish and others taking it for fact, so we prefer to challenge and correct so others don't get taken in by utter rubbish and fantasy.

"Oh according to some people they can tell you what to do in your own home.

Your home is your castle you do what you want in your private home"

Not really sure where to start with that one to be honest..

I guess I'll just say no lol

You can see them but you can't be in the same house unless one of you is using the toilet or walking through to the garden.

As said above, you can see them but follow the Government rules.

That's more rubbish then

There is no possible enforcement of social distancing outside, although if your caught by the police having sex outside that might be the least of your worries

For a group labelling themselves swingers many of whom have been risking sex outdoors for years you're overthinking this

Of course we won't be for a while but it sure as fk isn't because of a farticle in the daily fail or whatever
