I'm more curious at what level will Fab staff allow for people to look for meets with each other and when do people think they should I personally feel optimistic and reckon sometime in July.

They won't be permitted whilst government rules indicate that we should not be meeting others that we don't live with, for close contact together, is my assumption. It would be inappropriate and the site is also wanting the best for everyone as well as the countries that we all live in.

It's unlikely to alter whilst any part of the UK is in restricted lockdown. England is currently more relaxed than other states here, so we must be patient and wait for our friends in all 4 countries to get to a position where fuller social engagement is legally permitted and likely much safer.

As lockdown levels may be reintroduced, it's reasonable to assume that it would be wise to suspend fab relaxation until there is stability.

I would think sometime next year depending on spikes in the infection level and/or the availability of a vaccine.

I would say when we reach coronavirus threat level 2, which lists none or minimal social distancing, we are currently on the cusp of going into threat level 3 which is general relaxing of social distancing measures

As soon as people wake up to the reality that

1. Covid 19 has a fatality rate about the same as flu.

2. More people die every year in the UK from air pollution and no one got hysterical over that

3. The crisis is being manipulated for other reasons

Have a nice day and enjoy your imprisonment.

Perhaps because horny people meeting with other horny people may struggle to remain 2 metres apart?

It matters not a jot what we think anyway, I’m sure the site owners will take all the relevant advice before making their decision. People just need to have a little patience.

Something was said about social bubbles of 10 people possibly by July this year, but then again it all depends on how the virus numbers go up or down.... So really it's like asking how long a piece of string is. At each point of unlocking the lock down, I'm sure fab will look at how it effects fab and meets and take a decision at the time based on the new guidelines at each stage. There really is no clear answer

I think the social bubbles idea was played around with but I don't think they see it as feasible or enforceable. Thursday is the 3 week lockdown review, so we'll know more then but for fabs indoor sexual meets with strangers? I'd guess July or August that officially meets would be allowed.

But in all honesty I'm not sure the public and or fabs community have the patience to carry on till that time. Already you can see new verifications and people we've chatted to on here admitting they've met people for meets in this time.

Fab has a moral and legal obligation to adhere to government guidelines and Social distancing is likely to be in place until at least Autumn..if even then!

You can however, make your own judgement call/risk assessment according to the information that you believe to be true and the balance of your responsibility and circumstances..but not through this website.

It's still possible to arrange social meets. I had a socially distanced social last weekend. We stayed well apart in an open air space and hopefully may get together more intimately when government regs allow?

It just means that the lazy ones will have to work a little harder???

Legally, as soon as they create this friends and family bouble +indoors, which I think is coming faster than we think, he said today bars and hospitality maybe before July 4th, and let's face it Spain and Greece are starting up in July, folks have holidays booked and rescheduled, how would friends and families and be able to go if segregation was still in place, I genuinely think we are aproching the lockdown end game.

I think when the virus is controlled to levels acceptable to the NHS allowing for more than 15mins of close contact with small numbers of friends and family, and tracing/alerting in place , plus some other measures they haven’t figured out like automated / regular temp checks and cleansing. When these are in place Fab has no option but to let people get on with their lives. While ever the slogan is stay at home and control the virus it’s probably too early. I think Aug -Oct. For people with underlying health problems or those that COVID is a serious risk to I’d say it’s going to be years and/or small numbers of trusted FWB

No one died of air pollution. People die of diseases made worse by many things including genetics, lifestyle, diet and environment.

This is a highly contagious thing from a new adaptable robust virus with a layer of protective fat around it and very high risk of illness or death for a significant of people - not me, maybe not you, but many here. No ones imprisoned , most not-at-risk people are going about pretty normal just being alert and controlling the virus using common sense to help protect those at risk, it’s a pretty basic and humane thing to do.

Under the present guidelines you can admit a plumber, electrician, estate agent, Cleaner, prospective buyers or Tenants and heating engineers into your house so if your proposed meet is one of above you make the decision what to do.

I suppose it will be lifted when the owners of fab say so. Going on the advice they have they will make their decision.

as for the crisis being manipulated; if its the government doing it, they are making a fucking shit job of it.

if its the press …. likewise !

we are all adults and will make our own decisions on when we feel it is safe to go to the pub, cinema, swingers club etc so surely meets will be the same,

do we need government or fab to tell us that it is not safe at the moment, or does all the people dying not do that !

The infection causing death is just 1 part of the problem. People are acquiring lifelong damage to their health, including organ damage. For example, people with mild infections are being left with brain damage, which may cause them to have significant life issues forever, including loss of employment, need for care etc.

This infection is fairly distinct from flu, for many reasons.

Agreed. Current production levels have started to rise as the demand for hydrocarbons has increased.

It never totally stopped, but there was a significant reduction during the hight of the pandemic here in the UK.

We are now in the downward slope towards winter where the demand will increase further.

We was thinking more about a social meets button, been allowed to display verifcations from socially distancing meets ect... everyone is well aware of the social distancing, it was about if or when fab may move forward as discussed on various posts"

Fab is still using government guidelines from 1st june. Things have rapidly changed since then. People are now allowed to go out & socially distance in various places. It wasn't about waiting to be told if we could meet or not from here, its about fab been modified in accordance with current regulations

Yes, a social distancing meets option would be quicker & easier. Would be nice if verifcations from meets was allowed to be displayed as well.

Anyway, it's not the end of the world, alls happy in the world of fab. Just airing my personal opinion for what its worth.

"As soon as people wake up to the reality that

1. Covid 19 has a fatality rate about the same as flu.

2. More people die every year in the UK from air pollution and no one got hysterical over that

3. The crisis is being manipulated for other reasons

Have a nice day and enjoy your imprisonment."

Well said. Agree totally.

The problem with this country is that there’s too many people who think the way you do. Astonishing.

How does having someone blocked to you stop the spread - you know nothing more than that happens, they are not removed from the site and they are not stopped from coming back. Let’s be honest you do it because it tickles that little part of you that gets off on thinking your being better than these people ..

No, we do it to stop the spread and because its still breaking site rules, which I suggest you familiarise yourself with as you appear to think differently. And no one said anything about blocking, so no idea what that comment is about.

Thanks for your concern about keeping up, I am thanks. The site does not automatically put a block on. I've reported people over the past week and can still see their profiles. I believe this is more likely to happen in cases of abusive messages etc. But hey, what do I know, only been here 5 years.

It was being used for these reports too , I guess the admins too have got to the point where they stopped that too as it was pointless .. so if there not blocking them anymore I guess it purely is as simple as the rat pressing the food button in the trap. You get your warm fuzzies they eventually get their meet ..

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

--

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

The above is what happens to reports. As you can see Admin have a choice of a number of things but most people will be giving a chance with a warning or ban first

If people are expecting others to be chucked off the site for a first rule break then we would only have half the people posting on the forum

You won't know how Admin deal with a report as you are not informed

Melbourne in Australia was doing very well with lockdown. Anyone entering had to quarantine for 2 weeks in secure hotels.

Turns out the security guards in charge were sleeping with women in quarantine in exchange for favours.

Which caused the virus to leak out and spread and spike.

Cant trace Everyone because no one will admit properly what they did.

So the entire of Melbourne is now on lockdown again.

Needelss to say it was a private security firm that had got the contract.

So, sex spreads virus .

I can't no

1, I have no clue who your friends are and

2. Admin would be he only ones to answer your friends if they think a decision was wrong. They can ask for a review from the contact link at the bottom of the page.

I suppose it does prove that Admin do actually do something and not nothing as is suggested on this thread

"FAQ's are a good place to start for answers"

https://www.fabswingers.com/articles/FAQ#no_response

You don't respond to any of our mails.

We do this for fun and get hundreds of mails a day so we can't respond personally to questions about the site or your account. We recommend if you have a problem or can't figure out how something works, you post to the site help forum. If we responded to everything that people sent us, we'd spend all our time (and more!) doing that and not improving/running/fixing the site. Or, we'd have to employ customer service goons to read and respond to questions from a minority of users at everyone's expense and we'd not be able to do as much as we can for so little cost to you. We do read all mail you send and encourage feedback. If you have reported a problem with the site we will fix it.

Fab will change policy either :

- When the policy is clearly obsolete.

or

- When the policy starts to impact the profitability of the site (ie. people start leaving or not renewing paid memberships because of it).

Ultimately Fab's a business. They need to provide what their customers demand or the customers will eventually go elsewhere.

To the best of my knowledge there are no restrictions in place that mandate Fab restricting physical meets, it's their choice. Most of us agreed with it at the beginning, I suspect significantly less agree now.

Some folk on here never stopped meeting, that is a given.

Fab never banned us meeting, however they have banned verifications from meeting and went down hard on those profiles flouting lockdown.

I still wouldn't be comfortable meeting just yet, socially I would but only with trusted friends I've met over the last couple of years.

Maybe when profits are down or bojo says we can start having sex with strangers (as opposed to your partner lol) will anything be lifted.

The word there is guideline. It's not law (and pretty much everyone agrees that trying to police people in their own houses would be both futile and counterproductive).

Fab 'banning' meets is not to comply with any law. It is a decision taken voluntarily by a business and like any business, when a voluntary decision starts to hurt the bottom line it's likely to be changed.

Whether that will come before or after offical 'permission' is anybody's guess.

I definitely feel companies are manipulating the situation to shed staff then re employ them on worse contracts. British Airways were quite blatant about it.

1. Wrong. Flu death rate is less than 1% Covid 19 is at least 3.4%

2. Wrong. pollution kills 28,000 to 36,000 a year in the UK due to long term exposure. Covid 19 in 4 months has killed over 44,000+ of those tested positive 53,000+ including suspected cases and over 60,000 excess deaths when compared over the average 5 year death rate. Also air pollution isn't contagious as there's no person to person transmission that can land you in the hospital hours after contact.

3. Wrong. There's no evidence to suggest any other factors at play.

It nearly killed the PM, and many people without underlying conditions have suffered awful affects from always fatigued for months to as severe as being placed on the transplant list.

One of the worst known cases being Derek Draper, who is some how alive, but in a terrible state.

No one knows how badly this virus will affect them until it does. We're still losing over 100 people a day. Last time I checked no one dies because they can't get a shag. So stop being insensitive and show some consideration for overs and show some constraint in the groin department.

"As soon as people wake up to the reality that

1. Covid 19 has a fatality rate about the same as flu.

2. More people die every year in the UK from air pollution and no one got hysterical over that

3. The crisis is being manipulated for other reasons

Have a nice day and enjoy your imprisonment.

I'm not sure how you work out it nearly killed the pm... He was in & back out of hospital pretty quickly & carrying on his duties compared to a lot of those who have ended up hospitalised & actually at deaths door with it.

1. It’s fatality rate is far higher at 0.5%. Only 10% of the population have been exposed so far with 45 K dying. So the potential exists for 500000 to die in the UK- and we are only just starting to find out about it’s long term side effects for those who survive it.

If only it were a flu virus- I think we all need to wake up at how dangerous it is to us.

Please remember that the initial death rate is likely to be considerably higher than the death rate from sustained transmission.

The death rate for covid in otherwise healthy individuals is markedly lower ( 1%) than the current overall average.

The true fatality rate for Covid won't be accurately known until the pandemic is over, and even then there will likely remain a degree of uncertainty if the pandemic is ended by an intervention such as vaccination or treatment.

That's not to suggest it's an inconsequential disease but we do need to be a little cautious of statistics, particularly around fatality rates.

It's not a case of being judgemental, if you met someone who passed the virus to you during an intimate meet and you then passed this along to others - that's the problem

“..... I'm not sure how you work out it nearly killed the pm... ”

- Boris got sick,

- had to be hospitalised,

- later had to be transferred from a general ward to an Intensive care unit (ICU)

- had to be given oxygen

- even after he was discharged from hospital, he didn’t go straight back to work. He had to continue his recovery at Chequers.

I don’t know whether he nearly died from it, but I would say his case was a lot more serious compared to others who just had mild symptoms.

At the moment, covid has killed approx 15% of those infected in the UK.

As in go out and spread a lethal virus and kill people ! Hmm okay just dont let them come near me and anyone i love; I cant protect the world or the country and whilst i am NOT a tory or a fan of Boris, he cant either, but in their own inept way they are at least trying which is more than can be said for some people who seem to think this is over !!!!

Not being judgemental but I work with covid positive patients and believe me its not a pretty sight. Maybe if it infected a close family member of those idiotic enough to want to meet now, they might just realise the impact this virus has but even then I highly doubt it as they obviously think of no-one but their selfs.

Let's publicly hang someone if they go out for a social.

Because that's so much worse than been within the social distancing guidelines to any other situation.

Sorted!!!
