The majority of my time on fab i find myself reading the virus forums since the pandemic lol

I often find myself doing the same thing as a platform which provides a varied opinion seems more suited than the opinions of the media machine.

I used to then I realised it’s nothing but drama.

Now I ignore the news because ultimately I’ll find out about anything that directly affects me from friends or family. Reduces stress when not listening to the merry-go-round of news.

Instead I have curated my Twitter feed to my interests.

Lots of drama indeed.

I have grown tired of all the news coverage and find fab has kept me up to date on the main talking points lol

I don’t even think reading or watching the news is good for you anymore.

Current affairs has turned into a form of entertainment with constant live feeds and extreme partisanship. You simply can’t make truly informed decisions given the sheer amount of data coming your way.

All that happens is you’re left emotional (angry, sad, happy, resentful etc.) in order to encourage engagement with whoever has captured your attention.

You’re not really any better informed or happier so instead of watching and reading news non-stop I say read a good book.
