surrounded by twinkly lights

They locked down early in time after the first coronavirus case, and the majority of people did not social distance and now cases are soaring so high, people are trying to flee, finding the mayor d*unk in a coffin was the icing on the cake, yes we have had it bad but there is always someone else who has it worse

Sadly Peru just couldnt enforce the lockdown. In certain areas it was ignored and now despite many making the sacrifices needed during lockdown, enough people didnt that the virus has gained a large foothold there.

It really shows that we all need to do what's needed to stop the virus spreading and killing.

And yet people here are wanting to be let out and meet in groups and pubs and fuck strangers.

I think those are in the minority. I think the majority just want to see their family and close friends, and my (and sure most people's) family and friends wouldn't put the rest of us at risk if they for one second thought they had covid. Not seeing loved ones has probably been the hardest part of this lock down for most people

The difference is, we are constantly told we have far better facilities and infrastructure than these countries. We have, so we should be nowhere near as bad as it is.
