Whilst a huge thank you to our carers.

Also a big thank you to everyone else who kept working to keep our essential services running.

My electricity is still on, my water still runs, my bins still get emptied and I still have internet. Pretty sure it wasn't the elves who kept those things working and lockdown would have been so much worse without them.

So thank you to all those who put themselves at risk to keep this country running!!!

I want to say thanks to the guy who delivers my wine.

And the lads who emptied my garden waste. (Sorry it was so heavy)

At last some selfless positive comments

Thank you to everyone who has done their bit including the guy or girl who adheres to the social distancing in supermarkets for helping cut the spread

Yes there are so many people. The people manning the tills, packing the shelves, doing deliveries... anyone who made isolation not just possible but bearable.

You're all all fucking awesome!!!

You guys are great in more ways than already mentioned. Thank you. As bad as COVID-19 has been it's been a very humbling experience for me personally. Some people have restored my faith in humanity. Keep it up and stay safe too!

Well today I got chatting to a guy at the wholesalers who says he hasn't had a day off since January. He says the queue was just beyond belief.

He did not see himself as a hero and said the NHS workers were heroes. I told him that everyone would be starving it it weren't for people manning the tills, packing the shelves...

You won't believe what that appreciation meant to him.

So here's my thoughts. It costs you nothing to say thank you to these people. But it means a lot to them to be appreciated when they are dead on their feet. You don't have to clap just smile and say thank you well done!

I’m the same, I work in finance & we have been really busy - but I’m just glad I’ve got some normality & am keeping busy. It’s you guys who are stuck at home that have the tough job by comparison. I’m in an office, away from the ‘front line’ and feel relatively safe there. Those of you who are keeping to the lockdown rules despite being cooped up at home, home schooling, trying to stay sane & not just thinking ‘sod it’ and going out are just as heroic IMO. I couldn’t have done it, and I’m grateful I’ve not had to!!

The shout out is appreciated - but right back atcha! xx

I've been fortunate enough to be working from home with little to do and on full pay.

A big thank you to everyone who has continued to go to the workplace or worked full time from home including but not limited to the supermarket workers, posties, delivery drivers, electricity company, water, tv, Internet, bank, online retailers, bin collection.

When this all started, a week or so before lockdown but when the zombies were panic buying....I remember being in Aldi (the last time we had a "family shop" together)...it was crazy, so many people emptying the shelves. We went in with our lists of regular things we buy but people were just going mad. And for no reason because the supply chain was only damaged by the madness. We would have had no shortages if people hadn't panic bought.

The staff were working so fast to try and restock the shelves. Like little bundles of energy restocking as fast as they could. I took a moment to thank one "for keeping everything going and looking after us".....she replied "it's my pleasure".

No...on that day, no matter how much she may enjoy her job...it cannot have been a pleasure. But she worked her heart out to try and ensure the shelves were full for all of us.

I should add thanks to bus, train and taxi drivers though I have not availed myself of their services recently. But they've kept working, often at risk to themselves. Takeaway establishments and their delivery people too. Sure, some posted items have taken a day or longer than usual but everything is still moving.

We need to support the poor Italians in their time of need. Drinking lots. And lots. (And lots) of Prosecco is our way of supporting their economy. Well done for your selfless dedication to the cause

Yes those people are working their backsides off for us and I've never heard one of them complain. Without those products on our shelves it would be like the walking dead here. I always thank the people doing crowd control, always thank the people at the till.

None of our deliveries have been late. Earlier in fact. Less traffic and more people being at home.

This pandemic has brought out the worst in some of us but the best in others. To those that serve, hold your heads high and be proud of what you have done for your country. We owe you so much!
