Each to their own. It showed what can be achieved by taking a different approach. But if you're not bothered.....

Don’t even watch the news. Only thing on tv lately is THE VIRUS. Even adverts are all about the virus now. Still they had to replace miss sold PPI with something I suppose.

In a wax coated bubble

Tbh there is enough blame on what we should and shouldn't have done on here, let alone to watch it on tv.

It's easy to say we should have done this after the event has happened, I want to know moving forward what are we going to do next

There is some evidence that an excessive immune response can actually cause so much inflammation it can be fatal...

No, I'm sick of hearing about it. It's caused a massive division in society both economically and socially. People need to use common sense now.

I didn't need to because I'd already listened to this, just a week after the UK Lockdown was declared.

Impressive really that they managed to avoid a lockdown. Unfortunately the testing facilities they have there are probably more advanced than ones here.

Decisive action taken early is the main takeaway alongside testing, tracking tracing.

I read an interesting article in the Guardian about Kerala in India. 35 million and only 4 deaths. They tracked, traced and tested people on incoming flights. Still no deaths in Vietnam. One person there is critically ill with Covid19 and he is a British pilot.

All well done all the counties with none or low death rates, because they had SARS2 and SARSh1 go through their countries so most probably have some immunity. Also track and trace go through your phone and bank account then arrest anyone you have been in contact with, no sure I would want to live in that world.

Yes, I watched it and found it to be very interesting indeed. Unfortunately, I don’t think the same kind of processes would be enforceable over here.

What has been done here cannot be undone based on how other countries did it differently. Individuals watching things like this may learn how other places dealt with it better, but ultimately (& unfortunately at many times) it is our government who decide how things happen here, so unless Boris etc watch it & learn from it it'll make no difference.

Really think there is no point comparing countries we have

different populations

different density of people

Different levels of obesity

Different levels of diabetes

Different levels of people complying

nobody is out the woods it will be years when we have the full picture and countries boast of low deaths and early lockdown will just rocket again

For the life of me can’t understand why we haven’t solved this as we are blessed with so many experts in our country knowing what should be done

And finally wouldn’t believe the integrity of any figures for Korea or China

It was a good programme that I can recommend. As this problem isn't finished yet, we're just near to the start, it's great to get a clearer understanding of how things have been approached elsewhere. It's also good as it includes observations from citizens' perspectives as well as aspects such as contact tracing, which we've not really done here.

Sounds good advice. We’ve been contract tracing and tracking last 6 weeks with good results, you don’t need some stupid .gov failed IT system , just a set of processes. Looking into the antibody test too, just need a bit more info to come out of the scientific community about level of immunity for this strain of Corona. What we know so far is that mild strains of Corona like the 4 common colds give very short immunity, severe strains like SARS & MERS give around 1-2 years, but we don’t yet know the antibody protection effects of COVID-19
