"With more information now indicating social distancing is he to stay for the foreseeable future and there is less likely to be any kind of quick fix (vaccine) for at least a year or more. Does this mean the swinging scene, in particular group sex is now a thing of the past? And how will clubs change or exist under this new "norm"? I'd genuinely be really interested to know peoples thoughts.. " This is widely discussed in the Virus forum . Have a look there.

"We managed to visit VA for our first club experience in Jan. We rather feel now, that will be the last. I can't see how any club will be able to reopen " If that's the case all dating apps will have to close down, as no one will meet again. No more new children nhs will cope ok then.

"With diabetics making up 25% of deaths. Maybe the BBW nights aren’t a very good idea. " ...and the other 75%? Well aids didn't kill it off with many bisexuals pretending to be straight and HIV was seen as a gay disease. Thing is people will have to interact, just take precautions. In swinging we practice safe sex as best we can, knowing a split condom etc can lead to life changing problems: doesn't stop us.

"Not the end of swinging at all Just possibly the end of clubs though, at least for a long time." Let's just think of it as a "reset". I am thinking that as much as lockdown has stopped COVID-19 from spreading it has probably reduced the incidence of curable STDs which rely on their spread before cure to survive.

Do we social distance forever. “ as singles in society “ does this mean we can no longer go out socialise and meet people Are we supposed to have no social life.

"There's currently a 0.27% risk you'll be swinging with someone infected, there's an even lower chance you would get infected and an even lower chance you would show symptoms and am even lower chance again they you would have serious complications I'm not going to try and put stupid figures to it but if someone isn't coughing and spluttering I'd be happy with the odds."

"Jesus you lot !!! You're making it sound like it's the end of the world !!! We will of course get through this. Vaccine or no Vaccine the virus will eventually infect 60% of the population and heard immunity will kick in!!! It's happened before and it will happen again ... Having too much social distancing will just prolong things !!! We could all be going around wearing full PPE,that way no one would be infected but it gets us no where !!! " Well the SARS virus died out before a vaccine could be produced for it. The principle of wiping out a virus is keeping the infected and uninfected seperate for duration of contagiousness. To do that you need to know who is infected and who isn't. That's why testing is such an issue. I think long after this virus has gone the mechanisms for testing will still be in place for the next virus WHEN not IF it comes.

In a hypothetical scenario where it is known who in the world has the virus and who doesn't and the two are isolated the virus gets wiped off the face of the earth in two weeks or so. We will get back to swinging eventually, just appreciate it more!

" To work out just in this country who has and doesn't have the virus, you would have to test all 70 million every day and slow isolate people with the virus. Testing is a red herring to look like they are doing something. You can have the test then drive to the shop and catch the virus waste of time.

"I think dogging will become more popular. It will be easy to maintain social distancing if you’re playing in a car with the windows closed. " I agree N_N. There is also the possibility of small groups creating bubbles where we know each other is safe and where we trust each other to stay safe. The Dutch authorities have just suggested that singles do just that.
