Surely the alcohol content in a typical mouthwash is too low?

Or is it swilling your mouth with some dubious local hard liquor that they are referring to??

At the start of all this, someone suggested hot drinks would kill it.

All that science, and the answer is a cup of tea or a swig of mouthwash, eh

Report sponsored by listerine.

Same as the 'nicotine kills corona' report sponsored by lucky strike.

Fifth Circle of Hell

Alcohol content has to be above 60% to be effective. chlorhexidine mouthwash for example (which I use) only contains about 10% ethanol I think so it wouldn't be effective at all at such a low level

There is no cure. It’s like Aids. Only way to stop it is to be careful and take precautions

Less than a few minutes of google searching shows mouthwash is usually 20-25% alcohol. Hand sanitizers are recommended to be above 70% to be fully effective.

It comes from an article in the independent asking for test on it because mouth wash does break down the lipid membrane in some viruses as of now no tests on covid and mouthwash have taken place .its also not alcohol content that breaks it down hand wash and soap has no alcohol content but is the best way to break the lipid membrane in covid

Nobody says nicotine kills covid 19

In France they are researching nicotine as they have noticed that people who smoke and catch it seem to have less symptoms.

A lot less symptoms that scientists thought they would .So they are now looking to see if it somehow prohibits the onset of symptoms.

Every bit helps .

If it turns out nicotine does prohibit the onset if symptoms it could be used as a treatment.

Not a cure.

Not a vaccine.

But a treatment.
