So much we don’t know. I don’t buy the wet market / bat theory.

We still haven’t established if wearing masks is essential.

Does hand washing make any difference?

Thankfully not really impacted in Ireland, despite many coming over for Cheltenham and the criticism we got for allowing it to go ahead. Still 3000+ per day infected but who / how / why?

Is it only now in hospitals & care homes? What about shop workers?

Just read that playing tennis you should only handle your own balls ( snigger) I cant believe you could catch the virus by touching a tennis ball.

So much we are not being told. I guess we / they (the experts?) just don’t know.

Most of this IS known.

You are right that the origins are still not defined.

Masks are not essential for most people most if the time, but are essential for certain people at certain times.

Hand washing is still a major factor in preventing the transmission on surfaces.

There are plenty of people outside of care homes and hospitals infected, but most haven't been tested so the number of infections are not known.

Yes it is possible to transfer the virus from your balls to someone's hands.

Central

Hand washing is a reliable method to detach the virus from your body, due to the make-up of the virus, coupled with soap and running water. The hand sanitiser gels are less reliable but OK to use after washing.

It's unrealistic to expect to know the exact point that the natural virus crossed between animal species, due to its unobserved nature. When it arrived in humans, the majority of the first people infected were probably asymptomatic but passing it on to others, as they wouldn't know to be careful. It's reasonable to think it started in China, due to first victims known there. Better to focus on the future. Mass farming of wildlife and human destruction of wild ecosystems would be preferably halted.

Keep your eyes on reputable scientific journals, for publication of newer research results
