Employers have to part-contribute from July though, so that will create some motivation....whether positive or not.

I just hope the small businesses get extended help otherwise there won't be any jobs for the employees to get furloughed from. If businesses have to fold due to lack of support, the staff will go.

Just been reading about that

'changes will come in from the end of July so that the burden of paying salaries will be shared between the government and employers'.

here

Allowing the part-time salary sharing should be available to businesses sooner than end of July.

As businesses slowly start to operate in the next 2 months they may find it difficult to function without staff, who will either be on or off furlough during that time.
