she has special needs and she should have been going on a seaside day trip with her support group. She has been crossing off the days ... so I'm going to take her and have some time sat on the beach hopefully. Get some shells for making stuff. Do sand sculptures and hopefully cheer her up.

Nope, I'm still social distancing and not driving for miles as nothing is worth that drive. There has already been a massive resurgence of traffic on the road, so I'm sitting back and waiting for the 2nd wave. Longer this goes on, the longer we're closed. So I'm staying put and I wish other people would too but the floodgates have been opened, so it's going to be one big clusterfuck on the roads, parks and beaches.

Of course they will you can’t educate stupid!!! Living in a seaside town we are all scared with the influx we may see come the weekend.

It takes just once visitor with the virus even without them knowing and it could potentially kill dozens if not hundreds in the town.

Those planning to drive just for the sake of it or because they can are selfish in my opinion and have no regard for anyone else but themselves.

We only have a very small hospital 30 mins away the implications are huge for our town.

I won’t be but then again if nobody does then what’s the point of the steps to ease the lockdown as they won’t know if it’s working if nobody is doing any of it? So if they don’t see infections and death rates go up they’ll ease something else and so on.

If I go anywhere it will be a motorcycle ride to a quiet beach,ie one not in a town or village.

I can't see the point in going to a resort as nothing will be open and no locals to annoy.

There are a couple within 30 miles and will probably only stay there for an hour and ride home again.

Tomorrow I'll be doing the same as normal commuting to work, tomorrow by bike and suspect the roads coming home will be the busiest I've seen them in a while. Not planning any long trips, not entirely convinced the relaxation of lockdown is the right thing to do but given we can travel further afield looking forward to heading somewhere different to walk on Sunday although it will be relatively local and quiet

How can a person practise good hand hygiene when there isn’t anywhere open to wash hands?

In a busy seaside down how can you actively socially distance?.

We have over 15 old folks homes here my garden backs onto one with 50 dementia patients all are currently covid free. It takes one person visiting from elsewhere who’s infected to touch something in a supermarket, a petrol pump then a key worker touches it and the cycle starts again.......

Are you saying

No one in your town has the virus ???

Are you saying key workers do not practice preventive hygiene when shopping

Are you suggesting it's ok not to have procedures and practices in place in these homes for WHEN not if ,when a key worker becomes infected from a local ???

Beyond that it's still ridiculous the number who will decend upon the limited resources of a small number of towns but then it was ridiculous every bank holiday for the last erm 40 years

It may or not increase the risk but the risk is in your town regardless of the hoards

I'll still be staying local as I have done since lockdown started.

The furthest I've travelled in lockdown has been a 12 mile round trip - only once for a medical related matter, but at any other time, it's been a once a month 4 mile food shopping journey.

Otherwise, I stay within half a mile of my base at shops in town.

On a mooch

Don’t drive but at the weekend I’m going to take a very long walk off the island along the London canals and at the end of it wave at a cousin .... can’t wait

Halloween Decks are up and looking fabulous

Well did the round trip and I can report that . . .

The roads and motorways were very quiet, at the destination it was quiet on the streets and more than half of the people that were out and about were wearing face coverings. It was clear that a few people had met as they were walking in twos but 2meteres away from each other.

The only issue I had was one idiot driver who overtook me on the hard shoulder of the M6 in a 50 mph zone probably doing more than 70 mph (I have uploaded the video to the Police website as my dashcam caught his plate very clearly)
