"Not tmw but I will be taking my daughter to the beach within the next week and that will be 260odd mile round trip. Hope you have a super trip. " she has special needs and she should have been going on a seaside day trip with her support group. She has been crossing off the days ... so I'm going to take her and have some time sat on the beach hopefully. Get some shells for making stuff. Do sand sculptures and hopefully cheer her up.

"Nope, I'm still social distancing and not driving for miles as nothing is worth that drive. There has already been a massive resurgence of traffic on the road, so I'm sitting back and waiting for the 2nd wave. Longer this goes on, the longer we're closed. So I'm staying put and I wish other people would too but the floodgates have been opened, so it's going to be one big clusterfuck on the roads, parks and beaches." Another step towards herd immunity hopefully.

"I hope hundreds dont pile onto beaches etc or beauty spots and are sensible" Of course they will you can’t educate stupid!!! Living in a seaside town we are all scared with the influx we may see come the weekend. It takes just once visitor with the virus even without them knowing and it could potentially kill dozens if not hundreds in the town. Those planning to drive just for the sake of it or because they can are selfish in my opinion and have no regard for anyone else but themselves. We only have a very small hospital 30 mins away the implications are huge for our town.

"I would double check where you are going a lot of resorts are issuing statements telling people to stay away closing all car parks etc. And banning shops from opening " That’s that’s advantage of living 5 mins from the beach ,not sure where visitors will spend a penny no public toilets open

"No I won’t, I don’t see any reason to change anything just yet. I don’t think it is particularly welcomed by the people that live in these tourist type areas either. I have friends in The Lake District and they are dreading it. They don’t get a choice though do they? " So are those of us who work in the NHS in Cumbria, sunny weather in the Lakes = broken bones and full wards.

"It'll be shit if you can't have a shit when you head to the beach. Because all the public toilets are shut. Take a wind break. A 2 gallon bucket and a poop scoop. " Sounds like a good business proposal there - £1 for a number one - £2 for a number two and 50p for hand sanitiser? You will literally be rolling in it

We have a radar key though so should be okay

We have over 15 old folks homes here my garden backs onto one with 50 dementia patients all are currently covid free. It takes one person visiting from elsewhere who’s infected to touch something in a supermarket, a petrol pump then a key worker touches it and the cycle starts again.......

" Are you saying No one in your town has the virus ??? Are you saying key workers do not practice preventive hygiene when shopping Are you suggesting it's ok not to have procedures and practices in place in these homes for WHEN not if ,when a key worker becomes infected from a local ??? Beyond that it's still ridiculous the number who will decend upon the limited resources of a small number of towns but then it was ridiculous every bank holiday for the last erm 40 years It may or not increase the risk but the risk is in your town regardless of the hoards

"i think this is where you are going to see conflicts happening between locals and out of towners how you then keep this under control i haven't a clue....you are potentially bring asking for hotspots in rural locations that don't have the same hospital resources they do in cities, and at the some time you could be looking at people from one city mixing it with another and cause more issues.... i fear for this weekend if it is warm.... because i think this could turn into a ticking timebomb!!" The trouble is this time bomb is going to kill not only them but possibly their families as well - who would risk that ? not me !! Stay at home people; take care of you and yours !
