atlantisEVOLUTION. Stoke FREE ENTRANCE ALL WEEKEND

The current prediction is that 1 in 10 people will be able to use Public Transport again for a while (that's of those who would use it anyway).

Will you get on your bike, electric scooter to ease the burden on Public Transport?

We use both for leisure currently (but can only use our electric scooters while in France). We are so glad that electric scooters are being fast tracked to June this year and not June next year.

We use the tube a lot in London - but will use Scooters from now on.

Electric scooters are a complete nightmare in Oslo just left abandoned all over the place and are a complete menace on the walkways ... if people think cyclists are bad now ... look forward to bad time ahead ..

Were they not trying to bring in a bill that certain ebikes over a certain wattage were considered a mode of propeled transport which could be liable for a road fund licence.

There are some cracking bikes but the cost of them are not justifiable for me.

Bikes are too - being ridden where they shouldn't be in and out of pedestrians on public walkways - that's up to the Police and Local Authorities to deal with and for users to use properly.

There are some cracking bikes but the cost of them are not justifiable for me."

Anything using a 400w motor - most ebikes are 250w.

The problem with them is that no licence or competency test is required and a lot of people just can't operate them safely.

Plus a lot of people live too far from their place of work for it to be feasible.

Isn't that the same with cycles though.

My Scooter will do 80 kilometers. That's quite a distance - If I was going 80 one way then charging and 80 back . . .

Simple answer to dumping is to hire only by card and sue the dumper for damage or loss.

Santander docking bike hire in London has a £300 fine if you don't return it.

as long as its a power assisted bike rather an out and out electric bike ya can just hop on and go.think your right about the full electric bikes over a certain wattage

I’m going to avoid the tube full stop from now, I can hike from st Pancras to the south bank in 45mins , most places in London are walkable if you start at the right station, it’s much safer and healthier. Same in Dubai Uber is cheap enough no need for the Metro really.

It works ok in Cambridge, as a driver it’s actually quite pacifying, you generally drive like a careful guest on the cyclists roads

From my perspective, I'll continue to use Public Transport, albeit for the 2 or 3 times a month I need to to. As it is, services in my present area are still rather quiet.

Even though I'd love to return to cycling just as I used in years gone by, doctors have identified I have a balance issue, so walking is best. But due to Osteoarthritis in both knees, walking is limited.

Also, because of my knees, medical advice is not to cycle at all to reduce pressure on my joints.

Thus, it's the bus as my only option.

Only used them in Parks and in France.

But if you wander around London te \Police are not doing much to stop scooters unless you are being a real idiot like light jumping or doing tricks on the highway.

I heard you might need insurance, driving licence to use them on the roads, as the e-scooter has a motor that is operated similar to a motorbike.

How will the police tell the difference from a rented and non rented one.

I see loads a scooters out on a daily basis, have the police really got time to spends hours filling out paperwork for somebody on a non hired

one.

will either need a full or provisional driving licence, who about a road awareness test and safety course instead. See more dangerous idiots on push bikes on the roads and they do not require anything to use the roads.

As scooters come on to the road bikes will come off the road and will only be allowed in bike lanes or on the road proper.

The usual fines and powers that the Police have now will apply.

I have no objection to scooters on the roads if they are sensible but I have to step out of the way of an oncoming scooter on pavements daily.

I have no choice but to use the tube to get to work but rather than taking my usual route on two different lines I will only take the tube to where I usually change lines and walk half an hour from there, cutting down the number of lines you take may be a good idea. I having said that we are still working from home for the foreseeable future!
