The people are starving, poor have no food and and are dying at home.

What's the bigger risk dying of a virus or dying of ill health, bloody horrible situation they are in. so sad

Nigeria have stated if a second wave hits they will be unable to cope due to the non existent health care system.

I think there will be many countries in a similar position.

There are more cases and deaths in UK than Pakistan

Pakistan should be stopping flights from UK more like

London and over UK

"Lifting lockdown despite the fact their death rate is rising....madness??"

The reality is that Pakistan is a poor country. As such, the mortality rate from other diseases is extremely high - the impact of the Covid virus will be small on what is a high mortality rate. Its sad but this virus wont make much of a difference. There is no social security system or NHS there. If you are not working there, you will starve.

It is. There is no furlough scheme in Pakistan though.

Nonexistent healthcare.

Testing? No chance.

It's not a debate that they have the luxury to have.

Work or die. I don't know how effective social distancing and hygiene measures will be either.

Highly militant Islam means that even Polio vaccination has been failing in some areas.

This is going to be repeated in a lot of the world as the Orange Wonder cuts funding to the WHO.

He is, incidentally, also encouraging lockdown to end as infection rates rise...

Gerrards Cross London

Reminds me the Dan Brown movie Inferno....... measure to curb the exponential population explosion. Maybe some mad scientist thought this was the way to do it ??????? Who doesn’t love a good conspiracy theory?

Countries where large parts of population live on less than £2 a day can't enforce a lockdown
