"What do you think should be done this / next week, if anything by our gov Looking at other countries we are seeing things like below happening last week / this week , should we be doing anything like this in the UK ? - restaurants reopening with limited capacity - bars, pools, gyms, cinemas staying closed - 8pm to 6am curfews - complete isolation of major cities from rest of country - reduced capacity transport -max 1 per taxi, 12 per bus - mandating wearing of masks when outside and distancing with on the spot fines if not used - mandatory body temperature checks and using technology to automate it - mandatory contact tracing and testing - 5-7 airlines reopening per week - schools reopening between now and mid May " Why would they suddenly bring in a curfew..they won't... You can't isolate major cities...as people have to travel for work etc that live outside of these. Masks will dependant on scientific advice. Airlines...how will they reopen if Major cities are isolated..as most airports require staff etc and location??

" I frankly hope that they don't do too much as we are not sfely after the peak yet. And I'm not sure if we will ever be with our soft rules" Our version of lockdown has been about compliance..we don't have the police numbers like other countries to do the whole total lockdown without..most people being onboard..or the army involved.. So by default..and listening to the language used ..it was about softening the curve..to flatten it out. To allow for the NHS to be able to cope..another part of all of that is ..mild exposure.. hopefully preventing secondary infection with worse symptoms etc..time will tell on that one..

"I think they will allow a larger social circle. The only reason I think this is because I know it's been recommended for mental health issues. " Yes that would be a smart move, it’s happening in other places to provide pastoral support and de-risk civil unrest. But they have things like contract tracing and temp checks first , just can’t see out gov being able to do that

It’s also been about liberty , don't forget the language used and the delays. In Boris’s own words “inalienable right of free-born people of the United Kingdom to go to the pub”

"I would like to be able to go and visit my mother (91, 130 miles away) after my father died on the 11th March (not from coronavirus). That's the most important thing for me right now. Second is to see Ms Bicpl. Mr Bicpl" I was going to say, open the clubs! But after seeing this, I’m sorry I even thought it. Sorry for your lose and worse that you can’t visit your mother.
