Been reading in many newspapers the last few days about the possibility of the lockdown being eased in some ways by allowing couples that dont live together to now be allowed and for people to be allowed to meet with friends and family in groups no more than ten ( and more taken from more than one or two households)

This would help a lot of the rising mental health issues I think and I'm hoping its not just media hearsay. I know this is what the Scottish minister has said her plan is .. so I'm hopeful.

Also it's good that the cancer treatments and heart issues will be dealt with again now x it is a step in the right direction

I already live with 4 of my kids and have my grandkids over twice a week. Cant see my little sister as it says dont travel far and she is a few hours away. So my list would be all friends

I very much doubt couples who don’t live together have stayed away from each other.

I know a lot of people that it will lift a huge weight just for that.

I'll be glad to have my other daughter over who at the moment I see but only when she is passing this way.

I think many have. I've been finding thats one of the biggest issues people calling up have been saying. Being separated from partners and family x or both

I live apart from my boyfriend and haven't laid a finger on him for nearly 6 weeks. Have stopped outside his house a few times en route to work and had a socially distant chat over the garden wall but that's it

What we were contemplating yesterday, how does it work..

Do we only see our kids and grandchildren and then not see our siblings, parents where that still applies..

It’s difficult to see how it will work. Lifting restrictions was always going to be difficult though I suppose.

I've just read about that, it was on my Google page. It also said that when pubs might open they would limit people to 2/3 drinks then ask them to go home, and restrict how many people go in.

It does give people a sense of hope, which can only be a good thing.

This is from a BBC article:

To close the network of possible infection, every member of the group would have to include the other nine people in their top 10. And once chosen, each person would be banned from meeting with anyone outside of their preferred 10.

Essentially, the people in the group would only be able to meet the people in the group - you wouldn't be able to meet as part of two groups.

I think the idea is to mix and slowly spread the virus so the NHS can cope, as it's showing only one percent have it badly enough to go to hospital .

I understand the concept but can't see how it could be managed.

Take a family of two adults and two children. They may have four grandparents, brothers and sisters, in-laws (who'll have their own families too) before you even consider friends.

Limiting to ten would be nigh on impossible.

you would have to just pick one or two other households to mix with. It's mostly so that families where there are two adults that dont live together with families in two places..can mix again...I hope it happens as it's a step in the right direction

That makes sense re: contact tracing.

I'd think the people who have been sticking the lockdown rules will stick to new 10 people bubble rules.

The rest who don't care will just carry on meeting whoever they like whenever they like.
