The Shire

So I mistakenly began reading posts on this forum and I'm now realing from the number of threads that just spiral posts from experts who have all the solutions, arguing over points based on their opinion or their interpretation of what they've heard from their neighbours dog.

Now ironically after opening with the only negativity I would like to see on this thread...

What positivities have people seen from this imposed change in society?

For me it's seeing famlies, smiling, talking and actually enjoying spending time together out for a simple short walk.

Its also the fact that in the past few weeks I've reconected with good friends who I've drifred appart from due to the business of "normal" life, be that via phonecalls, skype calls/quizes, online gaming or whatever.

How about you guys?

People trying to help each other.

Social distant bingo in the streets.

Neighbours getting together every day in the street.

Appreciating the outdoors.

Wondering what extreme measures will be taken to raise the money over the next 30/40 years in order to pay for the damage caused by lock down.

I love knowing my children are safe in their own beds every weekend. I worry about them out drinking and partying a lot more than I realised.

Positive for me is I think this going to change the way we work. My place of work for one never considered it possible to work from home but since Covid19 we have been able to work from home

My wife has enjoyed more time with her horses, and I think the dogs have loved us been around all the time. Will miss the home time with family when we get to go back to work.

Positives for us,

The dogs no longer bark and get too excited when we get the leash out to take them for a walk.

A shopping trip(excluding queuing time) only lasts 20 mins,

and probably the best is,

S does and excellent topless hair cut

Wish my dogs wouldn't bark when I pick up the lead. Both 4yrs old and got way more go than I have. Spent 5 hours in brecon beacons with him about 18mths ago. He looked ready to go again at the end. I was dead on my feet.
