"My street from before lock down had organised check ups on older and vulnerable people and obviously this continued. We all have a buddy house to check In on via walking past or the net. Many on our street are taking part... we have been doing organised clap for carers and had social distancing parties on the front gardens for a little girls party and a 40th wedding anniversary.. Now planning a huge street party for ve day..at moment its planned to be completely social distanced..but also planning a proper party for when we can mingle. It's been lovely to interact like this. As I normally keep myself to myself... So how are you fairing up x We do have a few party pooppers on the street. Been reported early on for popping in and out when I'm volunteering and also had a report made for a party I never even had as it was on the street behind x but you get that person that reports the world everywhere No. I’ve always kept an eye on my neighbours. Young and old. And there is no having ‘socially distanced’ parties. I work too high risk to contemplate it and in all honesty it pisses me off seeing these activities. I see it as let’s push the boundaries of the guidance as much as we can. " its not pushing any boundaries... your allowed in your front garden. We just all plan things. I am looking after people with special needs and carrying patients to and from hospital etc ..so guess that's quite high risk. Mental health is just as important as physical health.

"Yes we have, luckily with the mindset of we will live with covid-19 not let it rule us. so we are all responsible and mindful of each other, people are smiling instead of being fearful now as we automatically social distance, teenagers are happy to chat to the elderly, food parcels are dropped on vunerable neighbour's doorsteps and our local police officers ride round on their bikes checking that everyone is ok, we have heard stories of people dying alone in their houses in other areas and we refuse to let that happen here. Will it carry on after lockdown... In small ways I think yes, especially with the vulnerable who are still self isolating after lockdown starts lifting, as the risk is still huge for them x" I hope it carries on. Its been my weekend to do the phone around. It means everyone feels they have something to do. And sometimes it's just a little hello. The flats at the bottom of us are full of elderly and special needs and it was lovely to see them dancing in the front or from the windows on our weekly dance along. I do like the areas that have come up with funny ways to interact.. we live close to Belper which has the 6.30pm mooing..which was hilarious the first time i witnessed it.

But things like this would appeal Sounds like you live in a nice area.

Their attitude is : If there's nothing in it for them, they won't bother. I've checked up on a lady in her 70's, to make sure she has everything she needs.
