Won't be attending clubs for a while but one on one meets with 1 or 2 regular meets once it's legal possibly depending on the risks at the time

Yes I think the club scene might take a bit longer to reopen and get some kind of normality back ,I agree about the 1-1 Meets

I don't think "we are all saying" anything of the sort. Some seem to be planning to immediately return to meeting once lockdown meaures are decreased, but many have stated quite clearly that they won't be. As with all things there will be different opinions & approaches.

Personally I don't think I will be meeting for a long time.

Same here. Thinking we won't be doing much, we had got a lot quieter on here, not really sure if we will carry on or as they say sail into the sunset together. Would be easy choice for us both, this was just a bit of fun, not a need.

I had been planning meeting someone when lockdown rules say it's possible, but as time has gone on I've realised it's just not worth it.

My life is more important than a fuck.

I am definitely going to see my partner as soon as the lockdown is relaxed. We used to spend every weekend together before this madness began...

Other meets- probably not straight away, and only the ones that were already regular before the lockdown.

Clubs- in due course.

I'm sadly going to have to wait a while as I just do club meets... but day they reopen I will be in them. May have to arrange a private group session if clubs stay shut for ages

It depends on evidence about risk. Different types of meet will present different risks. For example, if you were going to have another meet with someone you had regularly met before in hotels, i would assess that as low risk, taking into account all factors such as hotel availability, social distancing guidance and the immunity status of those involved. On the other hand, clubs will be off the scale of risk assessment for a very considerable time. However, i think that in reality it will be a long time before ordinary people go back to pre-virus conduct!

It's certainly going to be different, but then you also have the people meeting as we speak and I think by them doing that it will only prolong this lockdown , but yes 1-1 Meets and becoming a regular might be the way in the future

Think people will meet, but maybe with the ones they've known a while and met before on a regular basis.... If it doesn't bother some, then good luck to them, it's their life x

"Social distancing will still be in place for quite a while. "

If some rhetoric is to be followed then social distancing must remain forever

The rhetoric goes if you do not social distance you will spread cov-Sars2

And by doing so you will risk lives

Fair point totally agree

However exactly the same point DOES apply and DID apply to the other viruses in the world but specifically the influenza ones

If the rhetoric is

Maintain social distancing save lives save the NHS

It MUST by logical default be EQUALLY necessary and applied to influenza

It is an ABSOLUTE FACT that assuming SARS has gone not maintaining social distancing WILL cause more deaths AND put severe pressure upon world health systems

Of course after this thing has blown over no one will care again

I think we will discover most of the lines drawn are arbitrary

We wont care about needless deaths in other countries or needless deaths of homeless

I am genuinely curious when it will be socially acceptable for me to search for a life companion

I'm very very much for the lockdown

However I dont like the absolutist critical no give mantra

I hope for and would aim for most people most of the time

Which after about 4 months a couple of waves a couple of locdowns I expect for a couple or 5 years

I feel we will have to live with this live with another cause of death amongst many and take reasonable responsibility for protecting our health as well as others but not to the permanent loss of our humanity

The difference is with influenza is that there is a best guess vaccine for the masses, of sorts and there isn’t anything for this virus.

For me this virus isn’t that different to anything else - I’m scared of germs so keep my distance wherever and whenever I hear of anything remotely germ like.

It terms of getting back out and pursuing relationships of whatever sort, I feel the risk will just be there for us to live with.

Random testing only has very limited use in my view, if you test positive then you've probably been infectious for a while so infected others, if it's negative then you could easily get infected hours afterwards then infect others.

Basically saying as a key worker tested negative I can go back to work ,tottaly agree I could get infected anytime and not show any symptoms and still spread it

I can't see a massive party immediately after lockdown as it will likely be getting phased out and a lot will be only too conscious of the dangers of the possible "second peak" what it will mean and will have precautions in their heads.

Though it WILL probably happen and go into overdrive at some point in the future, either when case numbers have dwindled away to very little to none OR vaccination is ongoing, whichever comes first.

If it's the latter, then there may well be parties where attendees have to show some kind of the much touted "immunity pass" either through having had the disease or being vaccinated and if so then this sort of event would probably where those on the guest list go shagging bananas to make up for lost time tbf...

I'm not going to rely on the government to dictate to me when I can or can't meet someone or have sex.

I'll make that choice myself based on perception of risk and ability to mitigate it. Common sense in other words.

Was thinking about this that the club scene may have an interesting dynamic, the more adventurous, confident, promiscuous attending straight away and the not so sure , worriers etc not going

We've both worked throughout this is high risk areas and have abided by all of the lockdown rules as expected. When the rules are lifted and we are permitted contact with others we will absolutely be open to meets.

Our view is that we all have to learn to live with this virus as best as we can. We are all adults and provided we are abiding by the laws we should all be able to take responsibility for our own actions.

By that we mean only meeting if you have no symptoms and nobody in your household has symptoms. We fully understand people can be asymptomatic but the only way to avoid that completely is to not come in to contact with anyone ever and there has to be a balance between living and existing.

Great views on it to be fair, but will it come to a point where we will be checking temputures first, and if the party has already started when you get there what chance of you got checking temputures, 90% will be overheating anyway

Condoms end thermo
